carriers: Can they deploy Sentry drones?

Can Carriers deploy sentry drones? I fully intent to train fighter drones and Fighter Bombers. Was wondering in my head if these carriers deploy regular drones also. Regular carriers and Not Super Carriers

Why yes, slowcats can indeed deploy sentry drones.

Since Kijo Rikki answered you on the sentries, I'll point something else out: Only Super Carriers can use Fighter Bombers; regular Carriers are limited (and I use that word very loosely) to Fighters, Sentries, and regular drones (combat, logistic, and industrial).

So if you have no intentions of every trying to jump into a Super Carrier, you probably want to forego the Fighter Bomber training.

Yes they can but how interesting it is to use them since they get not carrier dmg bonus that is reserved for only fighters and +fighter bombers on supers?

Full sentry rigs and drone dmg mods in lows isn't this hilarious a 15 sentry chimaera is doing barely more dps than a domi lows full of drone dmg mods sentry rigs and 5 sentry out?
I might and am probably wrong but all my eft warrioring around my chimaera and drone BS's indicate it's not really the best choice for dps, however from the battlefield point of view sentries are cheap to replace and hit/snipe pretty good while fighters would dimply get smashed fingers in the nose and 25M the fighter, welp...

You must be doing something wrong then with the carrier, domi has somewere around 800dps with 4x DDA, 5 drones. Carrier around 1400 DPS with 4x DDA and 15 drones.

You really don't have any idea how the whole carrier drone warfare thing works, do you?

Sentries en masse, can alphastrike damn near anything off of the field. It's the entire principle behind slowcats...well, that and the ridiculous spidetanking. It's not about dps. It's about alpha.

One sentry is bad damage. 150 sentries firing at the same target at the same time...yeah, you do the math.

Not really, that's why I stated that I was most probably wrong and already expecting pro nerds to jump on this and try to gank it without reading enough of the post to realize this.

My experience with carriers is quite limited, I actually don't want to do anything else with a carrier than transport my other ships or eventually lolz stuff at the undock, I'm far from being already burn out of using cruisers/bc's/bs's and how could I?
-those ships are so cool and fun to use I can't personally see any advantage of having a carrier for other purpose than transport my crap left and right.

Sounds like you have a pretty firm grasp on it. Unless you are in a corp/alliance that uses cap fleets, the carrier's only real use is as a transport ship. Anything else is just begging for a stupid expensive lossmail.

Ho we do have special stuff for these and always recruiting capital capable pilots with awesome advantages but I simply don't feel to do this, I already have not much fun shooting structures with my BS under TiDi but I do have when we fight other large groups of BS and stuff, I don't want to get stuck in a slow ass carrier shooting structures and remote rep, this would burn me out of eve pretty fast.

Then I'm more of the guy who likes small/med gang warfare, roaming, assfrigs/cruisers/bc those are so nice and offer you so much fun and good fights/kills I just can't get bored of.
