Has little to do with 'space bushido' and more to do with playing a video game for fun and not to win by any means necessary. How many big space battles are not going to happen now because of this? Lots. You sacrificed fun pew pew for isk and so you can say you win? You can't pay your mother rent for your basement room with isk, there's no need to accumulate that much.

It would be like playing chess with someone, and when they realize you are probably going to beat them they grab the chess board and fling it and all the pieces up into the air. "Hey I didn't lose that game of chess you did."
