I just discovered the radial menu this evening. I had heard of it at the launch of Odyssey but never had it crop up in use because my pvp mains alliance immediately deployed for war.

This evening I finally made it back to my home region to do a little ratting and I had the radial menu crop up when mousing over targetted objects. Upon playing with it I discovered that it was very smooth and well-done. It has great functionality for people that like to play with one hand (on just the mouse) Blink

One thing that I would like to suggest to increase functionality would be a radial menu option to command any deployed drones/fighters to attack the current target you are mousing over. Other than that I think its pretty neat. kudos to whatever team handles the UI, Punkturis' team I think?

Way too used to right clicking everything to switch.

But it does look pretty good.

Try it man, it eliminates one full mouse move and a click

Nice save Lol

In reply to you post topic however: I agree, I'm loving the use of the radial menu (my only gripe is does it really need to be that big?). It's particularly useful used in conjunction with the overview I find. Hover over *insert overview whatever here* click and radial it. Runs very smooth.

It's human nature to want to explore. To find your line and go beyond it. The only limit, is the one you set yourself.

Hra Neuvosto, try setting it to right click with a very short delay, quick click is your menu, click and hold is the radial :D

Leigh Akiga, why not use you a drone hot key? :3

Either way there is a radial menu feedback thread on the F&I section here that already mentioned in a few posts wanting to use it with drones.

i have it set to middle mouse, with no delay. so i use it as i would use the regular drop down.

and, no i cant get used to it. im trying really hard but it just doesn't work for me. it has to do with moving the mouse on different angles. the old menu is a simple left click then move mouse down in an almost straight line until you hit your option, most options i already know how far down i have to go so its almost mechanic.

with this new radial, even when i already know where every option is, its still more work to change mouse direction on an upward angle than it is to move it down. i fount that moving the mouse down allows a ton more accuracy on the movement, when moving up usually makes me have to make corrections all the time.

anyway, im still forcing myself to use it in hopes it will catch on.

Whenever the menu pops up (for whatever obscure reasons) the only thing I do, is trying to get it away without messing up what I was doing. Ugh

I may find it useful some day, but so far it's only an annoyance. I really should change the key bindings for it, because at the moment I have no idea how to consciously bring it up and why it sometimes appears.
