Salvage drones Shortcut for Salvage order

I personally send 1 drone per wreck for salvage, and for that i need to click on the target wreck, then do right click on one of the drones and select "salvage".

I would like a shortcut key for the "salvage" order

Launch the drones, and tell them to salvage before you target anything. They'll run around and salvage on their own.

Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom. It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.  - William Pitt

Yes, but they go all to the same wreck

If they don't it will take forever to salvage anything.
You are making up for the fact that the bonus on each one is so slow.

It's actually a valid point. If the drones spread out, they would take longer to salvage each individual wreck, but would finish salvaging a whole field faster, since there are no wasted cycles (cycles where the first or second drone successfully salvage the wreck, rendering the remaining ones pointless). On smaller wrecks (higher salvage chance), it can make a big difference. I'd love to see an option to tell your drones to automatically spread themselves out as much as possible.

This is especially true when the wrecks are spread out widely, because the drones will return to drop off salvage, then find the next wreck. So, drone travel time can be larger than salvage time.

Is this not a detail variation on the theme of we need to have more customizable function regarding hotkeys?

I think its about time we got full access to custom set all our keybindings. If there is some excuse from ccp/dev side why this is an impossible task I would like to hear it, but I cant imagine that can be the case..

There is a hotkey for this. It's "F" or whatever you've set "All Drones: Engage" to be.

I've also noticed that having "Focus Fire" turned off when you send the drones out seems to sometimes result in having one drone over here, two drones over there and two more in that other place on the other side of the field. It's hardly a scientific observation though and I've never actually tested it, but I haven't had it happen once since keeping "Focus Fire" turned on.

I always do it manually, one drone per wreck and is much faster than all the drones to the same one.

The only excuse CCP can make is that it would be too fast to salvage if they would spread out automatically.

If you launch them before targeting anything, and then click salvage or F, they will go around and grab anything they can.
After you do that you can start targeting and pulling stuff the normal way and they will work in the background.
