Buy low, sell high can definitely work. No surprise there. But you definitely need to do your research first. Bear in mind that sudden price changes can be engineered, and this is not usually not for YOUR benefit.

Confirming that manipulating markets provides both entertainment and ISK.

Although I recently misjudged Catalyst demand in Dodixie (the hub, not the whole area around it) and took a bit of a loss out of a manipulation there. Turns out that it takes some time to resell 600 hulls in the actual hub.

Yeah, I've done similar with T3s. Nice profit but the turnover in hulls is far too slow for my taste.

So I must ask, would buying Flexible Market Items, warehousing them, and then selling them when market prices rise, month's down the road, be cost effective? Is this a standard form of ISK-making/trade here on EVE?

Also, I'd like to ask - How accurate are these Market History charts?

Well there are no maintenance costs for warehousing so this is an effective way to make money. And the more you start with the more you can make. so max your broker and accounting skill to minimize transaction costs and you will grow faster.

I believe, there is more ISK in keeping your ISK working than hoarding it in items. Unless you have way too much, keep trading with it and you could make more in the time you would hold and speculate on some price raises (which might not happen like that at all).

If you are good in recognizing very early, when a market manipulation starts to happen and knowing how to use it to your own advantage, while someone else does the work, then... ooops i already said too much.

Treat market history charts as something that is averaged... highs and lows being too far from an average being removed.

There is no need to move stuff, because now you can push it!
