Humbly seeking information

After a lengthy conversation with Mr. Pitoojee, I have decided to dispel all rumors about my title.

I was legitimately married to my benefactor.

In order to prove this, I am humbly asking for information about where to seek such proof of my marriage. I have the documentation, but many may claim it is falsified. I do not blame them for such blind judgment.

I am asking for assistance, not criticism.

Kind regards,

Melisande

Look in the records of the planet and geographical area you were married in, if known. If not, search legal records and documents of your husband's name to find out the basic information above, and go from there. If not there, go higher and see how well your empire keeps track of their census and citizens.

You should be able to find what you seek in the Book of Records.

As a former courtesan, were you previously enslaved?
If you were, the circumstances of your release from such a situation, be they marriage or otherwise, should be kept on record by the Ministry of Internal Order.
We would suggest that you contact them to locate verifiable documentation.

Amarr Civil Service would be a better place to look than the Ministry of Internal Order, unless either of you have criminal records.
Either way the ACS should have something since they handle planetary records and licenses.

So, you ran into the "pics or it didn't happen" crowd and now you're trying to appease them? Give them a one-finger salute and tell them to get bent.

It isn't anyone in particular, Mr. Quaid. It is more for my own personal validation. My husband's family has made sure these rumors have circulated and falsified any public record they could get ahold of.

You will find that rumor is a speed-fit Retribution.

If this information need be sought out to retain the position you have rightly claimed, then by all means, do so.

"I say that even as the holy and the righteous cannot rise beyond the highest which is in each one of you - so the wicked and the weak cannot fall lower than the lowest which is in you also.  And as a single leaf turns not yellow but with the silent knowledge of the whole tree, so the wrong-doer cannot do wrong without the hidden will of you all."

Again, checking the Book of Records should really be all that's needed. If you've got reason to assume the family of your deceased husband successfully tempered with the digitalized version (though I highly doubt that, given the consequences they have to fear alone), request that the clerics check it by comparing it to the hard copy. Be aware that these are serious allegations you'd put forward, though.

I have now found the information I was seeking. Those involved have been punished to the extent of the law. Thank you all for your assistance.
