Gas harvesting (hi sec)

I have a combination question so wasn't sure where to ask.

1. Since I've come back from a break I haven't seen gas spawns in hi sec, are they still around or now just much more limited?

2. Does the venture use the ore hold or cargo bay to store gas?

I asked cause I've built 3 new ships today and planned on customizing one for gas harvesting if the venture is not up to the job but as I said I haven't seen gas spawns in hi sec lately.

I haven't seen any in high sec, but I have noticed that there are now two types of mykoserocin sites in the low sec hotspots.
Gas goes in the venture's ore hold, making it the perfect low-sec gas miner.

I saw couple sites hisec week ago, it was the cheap stuff totally waste of time to even go there to suck it up.

Yeah, I move around a bit from time to time and I've never seen it anymore in hi.

Your right, not worth a whole lot but it's something to do if your looking to do something passively.

And if the dev's did move it to low, pfft rather go into a WH and risk my neck there atleast the gas there is worth something.

2) I haven't flown the Venture but I would imagine it would make sense for the ore bay on it to be used to store any gas you mine.

1) One of my friends was mining gas in high sec last week so the gas sites are still spawning. I don't know what types of gas though. She did tell me the name but I can't remember the names.

to 1. I have harvested Lime and Vermillion Mykoserocin in hisec (Odyssey era).
to 2. The ore hold is used to store gas.

Don't bother harvesting gas in hisec except you plan to use the gas yourself to produce the boosters. You earn much more ISK mining and selling Veldspar ore than selling the harvested gas. The ISK/hour is pretty low.

Never seen the lime but mykoserocin I've seen, yeah pound for pound ore is better but if you want to just park your ship and do a little isk making while your attention needs to be on another project.
