Low Sec - 0.1 to 0.4

Recently i've dropped most of my assets onto an inactive account so i cant be too tempted to 'just go get them' and moved into Low Sec for 60 days to see what people have been saying about it first hand.
Bear in mind, low sec is not safe, by any means, but here are a few things i have noticed in the first week.

Ice Fields -

Are there actually any in 0.1 to 0.4? i still havent found any yet ... shouldnt ice be spawned also in low sec, plus turned into a depletable roid like veldspar etc. So as the hi-sec belts dry up, the demand from low / null sec increases? It would still be there, but not in the crazy quantities it is now.

Planetary Interaction -

Npc sales for command centres only in hi-sec? Shouldnt it be the other way around? Promote players to risk going into low sec to buy these, to sell at profit in hi-sec? (give the pvp'ers a few targets too)

Asteroid belts -

Plenty of them, cant grumble there. But the layout....
0.4 - jaspet
0.3 - jaspet
0.2 - jaspet / hemorphite
0.1 - jaspet / hemorphite

It doesnt make it much of a thrill to set your mining lasers on the go, watching local constantly when your risking all for that lot.
How about :

0.4 - jaspet
0.3 - jaspet / hemorphite
0.2 - jaspet / hemorphite / hedbergite
0.1 - jaspet / hemorphite / hedbergite / gneiss

Only Idiots mining in low sec, and then those idiots dont use belts other then hidden.

I've met only 1 low sec industry corp during my time in Low Sec and it was while we shot at them. "Hi Reverb" but the pie life get old fast.

Low sec is for FW and pirates and those probers. Anyone trying to make isk mining anywhere near a semi populated area will get spotted and targeted. Not worth it at all to do anything else but PVP.

There are Ice belts btw but again. What idiots mines Ice in Low sec when they can afk/bot second screen mine it in high sec?

PI is PI takes 10 minutes and Blockage runners make it pretty easy to do.

As for normal belt spawns, honestly you could slap super nice ore in the belts and all it would do is bring every pirates alt into system in a cloaky waiting for that idiot to warp in a hit the mining lazor. So CCP do that cause while it wont get mined, it will increase the pvp some.

Don't ask about Italics, just tilt your head.

Yes, there are. Metropolis has 20, 6 of them in low sec.

Recently there was talk of making ice nullsec-only, but that was on the long-term nullsec list, so nothing concrete yet.

Wrong again. Not every NPC station has them, but they can be bought in low sec.

Actually, people DO mine in low sec. I know several low sec miners, and I do quite a bit of it myself.
A little Gneiss or hedbergite in the belts would be nice. though the hidden belts is always still 'where it's at'.

Does railgun ammunition come in Hollow Point?

lowsec is riskier then nullsec.

lowsec wouldnt be bad if FW became something people wanted to do/fixed by ccp...

lowsec should be pirates + factions fighting for system control.

not

pirates hoping someone is a moron.

Ehh.. this is just another thread on the issue with low-sec.

Anything you can do in low-sec can either be done, safer, in high sec or at higher yield and yet still safer in null-sec. Simply moving stuff to low-sec like command centers will only lead to an increase in price and jump freighters making periodic jumps to seed Jita.
