Hello

So I was thinking of starting a 2nd account, My main which is this one has 4million sp and Is mainly handling things to do with mining.
I was thinking of making a character that is more Pve / Pvp based! Is this a good idea? what do you guys use 2nd accounts for?

Perks of eve...you can use that second account for whatever you want....

Most of my alt accounts are for PvP related stuff, alts to scout with, etc...also have a few manufacuturing and trading alts.

Just depends on what you enjoy doing...you can either create a completely different character on your alt account to change things up, or you can make a character than can be used to help your current character...it's all up to you.

if you do not plan to play both characters at the same time, dual character training may be an option. having two trained chars on the same account has up- and downsides.

just for the sake of it this is what i use,

Main toon is a jack of all trades - as most people used one accoutn back in the begining - he can mine, refine, produce, research, pve, pvp .. but none of them amazingly.

1rst alt , ia a hualing alt, who can also salvage, do basic intel (cloaking above gates), and has maxed out leadership skills.

2nd alt, is a mining alt

3rd alt is a highsec , out of corp hauler - for getting logistics work done in highsec when corp is wardeced.

4th alt is new and being set up to do lv4 missions in highsec when things are "complicated" out in my nullsec home. If i am in the mood to play, and dont feel like playing games with cloaky hostiles in local - i can just switch to this alt and run some missions for fun.

i also have my 2nd and 3rd toons on all accounts spread all over the place .. they are not trained up .. and if so very little, and they sit in trade hubs for price checks or chokepoints for intel reasons.

If you are a miner .. i would highly recomend a 2nd or 3rd toon. 2 miners + hauler is a great mix. specially when the hauler can get into an orca or a rorq.

but itsa game and a sandbox one at that - so its up to you what you want to put and get back from the game.
