Overzealous Tracking Disruption Is Back Again

Hey guys.

Don't know if this is a bug, but after one of the launches, enemy AI would launch electronic warfare on you, and would never let up; effectively, you'd be permanently tracking-disrupted or neutralized during missions, which made them a hell of a lot more difficult.

While I'm not decrying upping the challenge factor, I am annoyed that I get tracking disrupted by 5 targets per wave on Blockade 4 vs. Sansha's Nation and it never...lets...up...which makes it impossible to actually hit the target and finish the mission (by yourself at least).

Maybe it was just this one time...unless other people are experiencing similar problems with enemy AI? I remember reading a dev blog which said this problem had been addressed...

Recommendations:

-enable ships wobbling in hangar view (pre-Captains Quarters)

-add more missions (NPC fleet vs. NPC fleets that actually shoot)

-STOP NERFING EVERYTHING!

Blockade has always somewhat hilariously stacked ECM.

Yeah, true; but they never caught every cycle....then again, if one target failed to TD you, someone else would, so effectively, you'd always get screwed up...

But this is FIVE at once, here...

I think I remember being in a situation like that before. I just ended up burning around until the TD's stopped. It took several minutes Ugh.

I just recently finished the Amarr epic arc. TD was horrendous.

Personally don't want it changed, though. Annoying, yes. Made a 45 minute mission last two and a half hours solo, true.

But eventually them bastards slipped and dropped the TD for a cycle or two. And every time they did, a whole slew of the little brats died. Kinda made me feel good killing dumb digital pixels, especially knowing the mechanics are against me.

If you're driven to threaten others with harm or violence because of what they do in game, you can't separate fantasy from reality. That "griefer/thief" is probably more sane than you are. How screwed up is that?

What is preventing you from flying towards where they spawn and smacking their faces in at close range?

NPC Ewar is unfair because it uses both scripts at same time without any penalties. No amount of TC/TE modules will suffice to counter 2-3 NPC TDs. With 3 NPC TDs you lose ~82% of optimal, falloff and tracking. To counter that you'll need more than 500% of bonuses to those stats which is impossible even with remote tracking links.

Opinions are like assholes. Everybody got one and everyone thinks everyone else's stinks.

During all those years it will take for CCP to fix this issue you can use sentries on auto-aggro (with optional micro jump drive) or T3 cruisers with afterburner to get into close range quickly.

Quoted for truth.

I've mostly done the Serpentis version of this and it has always been heavy on sensor dampening. It's not an issue though, just adds to the challenge. I think more missions should be like that and even have mixed EW, for example TD and dampening at the same time. Wouldn't that be fun? Big smileCoolBear

Do the mission for Angels so you're killing Concord. Et voila, no EW :-)
