Ok so three days flying around low sec (loads of belts) and i have found 2 npcs to get security tags, this is also the number of faction rats I have killed.

So is the spawn rate the same as faction rats, I was hoping to just get the tags myself to get my status up but if its that low there no chance.

And given how many tags you need to increase your sec there isn't exactly many on market either.

Think you need a bit of an adjustment there.

3 days for 2 tags with quite a few hours a day is a bit much, don't mind a little pain but come on.

I have gained more sec from the bs rats when looking for tags than from the tags that i got, that cant be right.

If they made the tags abundant and easy to get your sec status back up, here's how the scenario would play out:

-9.0 pirate spends all day ratting and collecting security tags
-9.0 pirate gets his sec status back up to 0.0
-9.0 pirate (now 0.0) spends all day shanking players in high sec
Pirate is now back to -9.0 sec status

Repeat

Its not supposed to be easier. Its supposed to give a new method: Pay someone else to do it.

All day to get 25 tag to get to 0 is too much, but 3 days for 2 is too low.

There is plenty room in the middle.

As for pay I estimate 12 hours for 2 tags, thats a low estimate too. so 1 tag every 6 hours, the high end tag is 150m atm so thats 25m/hr for flying around a lot of low sec, low end tags are 20m or 3.3m/hr. not exactly a lot.

But more to the point if one pirate uses 25 tags I don't think theres enough on whole market after 3 days and low sec has been really busy since patch.

Wait more than 3 days for people to learn to farm this new feature.

The market will be flooded with those new fangled tags within a few months. Until then, enjoy your ratting experience.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

I have to stop you right now. It is not supposed to be easy to find as stated above, it would get terribly abused. Also you might be ratting in an area with a lot of traffic. I am up to 12 tags right now after flying around for a few hours in a dead area of low, hell I found two tags in the same system within five minutes.

I think your patience is in need of a adjustment. I would be horrified if these tags were very easy to find.

1)Don't roam. You need to farm to maximize spawn rates over the long term. Do full kills of each spawn in 2-3 systems.
2)Expect current spawn rate to be adjusted in the a month or two.
3)Have fun flying tags around or buying your tags back at a higher price if you sold them anywhere but at station.
4)Have fun spending more time ratting than previously.

Nerfing High-sec is never the answer. It is the question. The answer is 'YES'.

This alone should make you realize that tags are an aditional avenue to recover sec status, but not the ultimate "I can ignore all other forms of sec status farming now" feature you were looking for. It was unreasonable of you to assume that CCP was just going to trivialize the consequences of going -10.0.

Keep roaming those belts killing BS rats as usual, and be thankful for the extra boost when you run into tag NPCs.

No, that's not how it would work.

Suicide gankers don't need Security Status to suicide gank, as they're only on grid for a few seconds and use an alt to scout their target.

EDIT:

BTW, A Sealth bomber a cloaky T3... you can get your sec status from -10 to -1.9999 in 10 hours...

THATS right, its just another boost/ method to help out, A LITTLE. although pirating is an aspect in the game, EVERYONE other than other pirates pretty much frown upon it, so why would they make it so easy to do so for the few players that need it... to **** off the other players (majority) ya your smart.

you got your self a -9.0 sec status now get your self out.

actually ya, and 20 tags is nothing for full neg 10 to 0. lol its .5 per tag lmao, thats HUGE in most instances other than -10 lol

is just that you need the certain types to cross the threshold of each 2 steps in sec status.
