Any way to rescan for anomalies using the onboard scanner without leaving the system?

Is there a way to rescan for anomalies using the on-board scanner without leaving the system or logging out and in again?

Don't they magically appear regardless? Server "pushes" the update to the client.

I think it is automatic. Some times I would be running mission and I see the scanning overlay going again and again, and I don't even have scanner open.

I have a problem where Anoms and/or Sigs often won't display. Updates to the list will automatically show a few seconds after spawn/despawn but if you're not seeing any on your list then uncheck and recheck the show Anoms check box and the list will refresh.

Often when i enter a system the scan list is empty, then i enable and then disable "Show anomalies", and the scan list correctly only show signatures.

Could be a bug related to flying with "Show anomalies" disabled most of the time.

I'm a relatively respectable citizen. Multiple felon perhaps, but certainly not dangerous.

I find that hitting the map icon or hitting F10 refreshes the anoms / sigs too.
