Dear CCP Can we have a contest for next ship class?

Hello!


Last time CCP did a art contest with drawings and more for the Teir 3 BC! It was a awesome contest! Can we do something similar but this time allow the player base to vote on next ship class we would like to see in the game of eve!

I'd like to see more destroyers. They're the least numerous ship class, with only two per race. The new ones we already got are great, but by comparison to the others they're under represented.

Agree, they are accessible quickly and one of the most fun ship classes, 3 or 4 per race would be great.

Oh yeah theres gotta be billions of those made every day Roll. It could just be me but I think it'd be nice if new models can actually be put on something that will at least be usable for more then 1-3% of all eve.

T2 destroyers would be interesting, but I think their T1 roster needs to be more fleshed out so that destroyers can find a better niche of their own instead of being dedicated suicide gank ships.

capitalship rebalance should be coming out very soon. CCP has said they are redoing all the T1 hulls first, and we dont have any t2 capitals so come on CCP it's time to bring out the sunshine now on them....Bear

It would have to say it would have to effect ton of people not the few of us... so it would have to be capital ship cheap anyone can buy and build.

We will see if they add any more they have said 2 new ships per year :))

I agree need something different but should it be capitals? should we really look something more E-War?

I'd just like to point out that during the art contest that spawned the Tornado, the Nado was originally conceived as a Battleship. An incredibly OP one at that.

From a slightly different point of view, I just asked myself "What kind of ship would be the most fun to fly for me?"

Answer: cloaky AFs. Not sure if this would be game breaking, though.

I'd like to apologize for the poor quality of the post above and sincerely hope you didn't waste your time reading it. Yes, I do feel bad about it.

Exploration class on a destroyer platform would be nice.

Although I might draw up a dedicated gas miner. Gas mining doesn't have a dedicated ship and the ones that do it don't look especially "gas miney".

I had an idea about introducing a new class of destroyers as part of changes to boosting. Have command ships give boosts within a sphere of influence, and use destroyers to relay those boosts to within their own smaller sphere of influence on other parts of the battlefield. Would create more opportunities for tactical positioning in the field.
