My orignal buisness post is

and it has been locked indefinitely, whichi was actually quite handy as I took a break.

However, I would like to start it back up so could whoever kindly unlocked it once before please do so again?

Ok so I have failed to get my thread unlocked so far... Sad

which may have just been from the fact some sort of forum moderator read that post. Does anyone know if there is a more formal way to ask for a post to be unlocked?

Report your own post and ask for it to be unlocked (very nicely!) would be the easiest way I guess. Ask them to post in the thread which will guarantee that 90 day limiter to not kick in.

Disclaimer: No idea if that's official way. I do apologize if this is abuse of the report function.

Yes, it is the easiest and by far the fastest way. And no, if politely asked by the OP and there is a good reason for the unlock, for example coming back from a break and picking up business again, it is not considered abuse of the report function.

There is no relation between posting by anyone and the automatic 90 day limit auto-lock. Only stickies are exempt.

That said, as the original thread has been re-openend, this one is redundant and gets a lock.
