I have been playing around with a Proteus fit but need some input on if you would change any sub systems or modules to better benefit it before I make the purchase. Thanks for any input and I would really appreciate if you could could explain why you changes something. Big smile obviously slots would change is you change some subs. As for the brutix I am kind of at loss so if you can post a good fit I will love you.

Proteus:

High slots:
5x heavy neutron blaster 2

Mid slots:
2x cap recharger 2
1x Federation navy 10mn mwd
1x True sansha stasis web

Low:
1x Armor thermic hardener 2
3x federation navy magnetic field stabilizers
1x Armor Kinetic hardener 2
2x True Sansha medium armor repairer

Rigs:
2x Medium capacitor control circuit 2
1x Medium auxiliary nano pump 1

Subs:
Capacitor generation matrix
CPU efficiency gate
Nano bot injector
Localized injectors
Dissonic encoding platform

Why do you need those hardeners? Those are already your highest resists, and for PvP you want an even resist profile. Go EM/Explosive hardeners. Also, stop trying to be stable. 2 cap rechargers and 2 CCC's are not helping you. Also you'll need a point or your enemies will just warp off. I'd go with a cap booster and a scram in your mids. Also might be a good idea to replace the electronics sub with the scram range one.

I'm not really familiar with the proteus, but these are just things I noticed that don't seem right on a PvP fit.

I'm usually in fleets with dedicated talkers but I do see your point. That's why I posted here. Thanks for the input. Cool

Ah, well if it's gang PvP then either you're a small gang and it's always helpful to have another tackler, or it's large gang and you should have logi (and therefore should not be active tanking).

For the former, my prior advice stands. For the latter, I'd go for a 1600 plate fit with the augmented plating subsystem. If you're completely confident that your tacklers will not die though, I don't know what I'd suggest.

I very much disagree with that statement.

You should fly this with a logistics around or your friends have armor rep drones but take a close look:

[Proteus, Heavy Tackle]
Damage Control II
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
Energized Explosive Membrane II
Energized EM Membrane II
1600mm Reinforced Steel Plates II

Republic Fleet 10MN Microwarpdrive
Federation Navy Stasis Webifier
True Sansha Warp Scrambler

Heavy Neutron Blaster II, Null M
Heavy Neutron Blaster II, Null M
Heavy Neutron Blaster II, Null M
Heavy Neutron Blaster II, Null M
Heavy Neutron Blaster II, Null M
Heavy Neutron Blaster II, Null M

Medium Anti-Explosive Pump II
Medium Trimark Armor Pump II
Medium Hybrid Burst Aerator I

Proteus Defensive - Augmented Plating
Proteus Electronics - Friction Extension Processor
Proteus Engineering - Power Core Multiplier
Proteus Offensive - Hybrid Propulsion Armature
Proteus Propulsion - Localized Injectors

Hornet EC-300 x5
Hammerhead II x5

Highlights on EFT numbers considering: not all lvl5 (blasters spec 4 and passive resists at 4) medium range drones skills, requires 1% PG implant, this fit andnumbers do not consider the addition of dmg implants or slaves, links and combat boosters.

750 DPS with Void
-/+ 100 K EHP omniresists with a very good pvp resist profile (my EFT version seems somehow borked)
+/-1200m/s
Cap stable 50% everything running 100%

It's possible to change a bit slots through subs changes, however being able to add med drones or ECM drones on the field, an 18+km scram point+web is all you need to apply those 750dps and blow a lot of stuff, plus you have friends with you they shoud take care on you for putting that ship on the line to bait kills for them.

Not a super expensive fit, scrap the T2 rigs, change faction points forT2, change that T2 plat for a meta 4 etc and you still have a heavy tacker/dps ship absolutely fantastic.

Edit: about Brutix, as some guys said above in short it's a bad ship for pvp overall, it can succeed but you will be primary for 2 reasons, one it's because it's a dps brute therefore needs to get taken out of the field asap, secondly because once fited for dps/mobility your ship has a rather poor tank/mobility and you will loose it before you can apply decent dmg considering you're facing equal numbers and experience gang.
The best use for a Brutix is still shield fit it, prop mod no points lows full of dmg and speed mods, light up your highs and watch them melt under your guns.

@Sergeant
Running a T1 Burst Aerator with 3 Mag Stabs will give you very little gains, you're certainly better off with another armor rig or if you downgrade the armor rigs, a T2 Burst Aerator will be worth it due to how stacking penalties are calculated.
