Would this business idea be viable?

Would it be viable to provide mining support services?

Basically I'd go with you (some sort of minimum group size that makes it profitable) and I would either take a percentage of the ore mined (but less than the boost that I'd be giving) or pay a percentage of the market rate for the raw ore.

Basically the miner could either sell his ore immediately from the belt, or get a boost to his mining skills and someone to haul it back to a station for him (as opposed to repeated trips back and forth as his ore hold fills).

Thoughts?

Personally I cannot see it being profitable dye to anyone that is doing big scale mining would either have access to an alt account or corp mates to provide the buff.

You may find a few people willing but I doubt it would be worth you time

Start a corp.

There are people who do what you suggest, and as far as I know they are relatively successful. Orca boosters are a dime a dozen, so the primary service your providing is hauling. Make sure your booster is maxed with the mindlink too... I imagine it will take quite some time to pay off the mindlink though.

Also, make note, being in Fleet AND being in corp at the same time means corp members can shoot at you at will.

Boost from an alt corp.

Not being awkward for the sake of it, but - just being in a corp (player corp of course, not NPC) means corp mates can shoot you, you don't need to be in fleet. Though to be fair it is easier to find you when you are in fleet :)
