Looks good, I'm not experienced at all in running C5/6 capital escalation but if my memory serves me, in Jack's classic C5/6 capital escalation guide (look for it I think it's called capital escalation running like a boss) he used double 1600mm plates and fully passive resists which I assume was in case your cap got alphaed by sleepers when your carrier's energy xfer was mid cycle and your hardener turns off, seems like a pretty niche situation but I'm assuming that's why he ran passive resists or else I don't see a reason not to run active hardeners. I'm sure he's run a ton of sites so he must know what he's talking about.

About same price (maybe lil cheaper) fully passive and 10k more ehp but requires cheap 3% pg implant

I don't like the overheat sub though, seems like a waste on pve boat.

Fit will do fine. It will still do fine if you downgrade some of those items:
- tech 2 energized nanos
- tech 1 rigs
- and c-type hardener

Will still give you 140k+ ehp.

is 140k enough to survive c5/6 escalations?

If you want to dump money, better go with specific a-type membranes instead of hardeners. Nothing more annoying than a unlucky neutcycle shutting off your hardeners while you're over there managing your dreads.

As long as you're receiving reps, a loki doesn't really die to the sleepers alone. If it does die, you should orbit your carrier next time.

This. If you die, blame your carrier pilot.

Also a good point.

I assume you will start escalating one cap at time, so you shouldn't run into any problems. Some people are even using just recons instead of Lokis for that.

If you throw in all caps at once (except the second carrier), the more pimped, passive tank Loki will definitely be the right choice (120k+ ehp is still enough here, triage 2 carrier s more important). You probably want to bring a second and maybe third Loki, though, because neuting will be a much greater issue.

One suggestion I'd have is to ditch your guns for a full rack of Medium Nosferatu; if you put your leeches on the carrier, you can usually keep your webs running even under full neut pressure, despite being practically cap-dry. The second carrier can clean up non-escalation sleepers by assigning drones to the Loki's until the E-war lands on field.

Never not go full passive on an escalation loki.

I would have to vote against the nos though. If you carrier suddenly has an oops moment or you or the carrier start to dc, you can usually store the loki in the carrier and chill in your pod for a bit until life returns to normal, at which point you just reboard your loki and continue with the site. If you are running a nos you will have to wait out your weapons timer in order to store the ship. In the case of a dc you may not have the luxury of time.

some really good info, thanks for the replies so far.

The second fit would be more appropriate then? How much armour hp can i get away with realistically? That fit has 28k armour hp with lowest resist at 80%.

I can make it a lot cheaper by using t1 trimarks and this will drop armour hp down to 24.6k

Moving everything else down to t2 makes my lowest resist 75.9% on explosive.

looks fine, use passive hardeners though.
i do still use a dual plate one but the extra eanm is fine too.
tbh it's better if youre not triaging, im just too lazy to refit it since it doesnt make a functional difference.

RF painters are pretty cheap.
