Ambush ships

At start sorry for my english.

I have a idea of new type of ships, they could use a module similar to covert ops cloacking device. Those module would cheat enemy sensors tolding to enemy that this ship is normal industrial ship. Those ship could be used as bait in small gangs. When is active that ship can`t use any other module. This is how it`s work enemy locate industrial ship warp in lock and try to take them out, then ambush ship turn off this device lock some enemy and use scramble and/or disturb module. Those ship should have poor dps and really good tank ability and strong resist.

The second idea is about future improvements and walking in stations and meeting other players in that stations. It`s about scanning other players to find what hardwings and implants they have in head (some module that can take place in hardwing socket) some other people could shoot those pilot and grab their corpse. Then in new module (probably in pirate stations or player station) could be used to "harvest" those implants. The mechanic of this is simple, when pilot dies some hardwings and implants are destroyed, in those laboratory is 30% chance to succesfully harvest, and the lvl of new skill needed to "harvest" increase those chance 5% per lvl what gives in max lvl 55% chance to succesful harvest.

Ok, that`s all once again sorry for my english.

The second half of this post looks strangely familiar... did you suggest it before?

Posting in not-so-hidden boost BO thread.

As for 2nd idea - why would you want to reduce ISK sink from implants? Implant market is not fast moving and definitely not most profitable one. Why would you want to ruin it?

Opinions are like assholes. Everybody got one and everyone thinks everyone else's stinks.

I think a model projector would be f**king awesome! But would have to be category based... e.g. a BS can not mimic a frig.

May be an item that doesn't work on grid, but for Directional scan / probes only?

But would require a big disadvantage.

I was thinking about something in cruise ship category, who would mimic for example industrial ship (Iteron, badger, bestower or mammoth)

yup but for every race and with effective hp 100 k+ with better mobility, for bait hit and run tactics.

Why should bait be good at running?

Bait is traditionally attached to hooks so that it can't move, and generally eaten in exchange for what it's caught.

I'd much rather see a decently implemented Q-Ship than this, tbh...

Nothing quite tickles my fancy so much as the tears that will flow when that "unarmed hauler" (with cruiser sized tank and DPS) blows away a would-be pirate. Twisted

I can see it now.... the market for ship scanners would take off like a chilli-eatin' chihuahua!

That, my good sir, was hilarious. My thanks!

That said, it's still a gimmick fit, and I'd still love to see a proper Q-ship build ingame.

Q-Ships were gimmick fits.

In EVE, Cynos, Login Traps, and Cloaky traps perform the equivalent role to Q-Ships.
