Ugh...when,...? (Love the game - but - sometimes it gets frustrating dealing with the UI and...).

...when, if ever, will we ever be able to do a search of the market for fittings based on low, mid, and high slot?

Also...why does my drone controls blink out when I select "Launch Drones"? It is frustrating when the drone controls blinks out and you have to wait for it to return only to have to re-click on the window tab to tell the drones to "Engage Target". Will drone UI ever be "re-worked"? It needs a serious overhaul. You'd think that since we play a game set in the distant future, things would be a little more intuitive and show some degree of intelligence with how a ship works.

For instance...why...why do we not have a separate targeting system for "friendlies"? That way...we can target the enemy and friendlies and not have to worry about inadvertently launching a missile or firing a projectile at people on our own side. When I am providing logistics and also firing weapons - it would be nice(and it would show some intelligent design on the part of the designers) if we had the ability to target enemies and friendlies and not all be in one system. Seriously...CCP...you want us to believe the game is set in the distant future and we don't have friend and foe targeting systems that are separate of one another?

One last thing...after ships are all re-balanced, do you intend to re-balance and re-work fittings, rigs, and T3 modules?

Oh and one last frustrating thing. About ship collisions, against one another, structures and asteroids...just exactly how big are the hit boxes on these things? Why does my ship get hung up on stations and large space structures and it is hundreds of meters away from them? Can you explain that to me please? Thanks! Bear

Uhhh friendlies.. people set to "BLUE" Enemies... people set to "RED". If you are constantly shooting "BLUE" or getting shot by them... maybe you have other problems you need to work on.

There are T3 modules?! Since when?

No really!!! Blue are friendlies and purple are friendlies? Roll Please - I know this all ready...that is not the issue. I explained the issue...if it is too hard for you to comprehend....can't help you there.

No...you missed my point and I do...not my fault the game warps me into stationary objects...talk to the game designers. I just wish this was fixed.

While I completely agree that drone UI needs an overhaul, (and apparently CCP is working on one,) this is bound by default to "f" last I checked.

You'll just have to pay attention, or not whore in on kills. Logistics should be dedicated logistics, not half-assed can't-do-either-properly ships.

Please CCP the game is hard enough with right click orbit and pressing f1 on the target I want dead, now i want you to stop me from shooting the targets that are friendly automatically, because I cant look at my overview and be bothered with anything more than pressing f1. Also I would like the things in the real world that are like bows and arrows but better (they use bullets and gunpowder), I think you call them bow and arrow 2.0, to have a safety feature where if I put it in my mouth it won't let me shoot, I mean it is just poor design from the bow and arrow 2.0 gunmakers to not have that installed already, it's 2013 already ffs.

FYI CCP have mentioned countless times that the drone UI is going to get overhauled, but for your particular problem, just simply pressing "f" (default key) on your keyboard will make the drones attack the target selected, but be careful they will also attack friendlies.

Stupid is as stupid does. I am not trying to be mean, but for some weird reason the thread sounded like an episode of jerseylecious in my head.

You do know that you can set/import your overview setting so that people in your corp, alliance, good standing, etc. Don't even show up on your overview. Any smart player had a few tabs that have specific roles like pvp, mining, exploration, or not being a completely noob. Guess which tab you need. K

Oh get real....you are going to tell me that a 20th century fighter plane is more advanced than a interstellar warship that is suppose to be at the pinacle of of human advancement? Please...seriously...the least CCP could do is make the game match the lore and have better targeting systems than a 20th century fighter plane.

Good to know. I was primarily a miner and Orca pilot and rarely used drones. Sorry I am not an expert at the game.

You do know there are hotkeys for drones....

You do know you can have 2 rows/colomns of targeted people. I split them up between friendly and enemy. Then again I cant think of a situation where you need to target both.

If you are logi...you dont have to target enemies as your job is to assist friendlies.
If you are the DPS guy...you dont need to target friendlies. You kill stuff. And if you want an update of friendly status, the fleet has awatchlist for that.

And what in the hell are T3 modules????

Drone UI disappearing upon launching drones is a bug. Needs fixing, and they are aware/will work on it when they can.

Per the rest, spider-tanking comes to mind. Have friendlies locked, enemy targeted, hit fire. Due to server delays, enemy popped, server sees your 'fire' command, and kindly informs your buddy that you are now shooting at him. Your UI updates and you are now targeting a friendly (and firing at them to boot). (Whether this is what is going on technically, I don't know, but this has been my perception)

Default one is "F" you will agree on this one, then why the default key or whatever key you put doesn't seem to work on all drones?
One day all attack, the other day 2 decide to attack another target, when you tell them to get back to drone bay you might have one of those rebels sticking around your ship and idle.

Enough !! CCP give us tools to learn these drones good manners!!

Drones are rebels, Harley Davidson neckbeard drivers always drunk, that's why, and you CCP feed them with beer instead of principles and discipline.

Fun fact, the "F" key also works on rep/salvage drones, and I'd assume EW drones too, but I don't generally use them.

except that salvage drones can only work on wrecks, and rep drones will do exactly what you tell them to do. even if what you tell them to do is to rep a wreck or an enemy. And btw, you CAN search for you fits in the Marketplace. Ever since they introduced Folders in the Quickbar.

Here's what you do: Make a fitting.

Drag the Fitting over to the Quickbar.

It should have the his/lows/mids/rigs in separate folders for you. I'm not sure if it has drones/ammo in there too.

You can also drag your locked targets down a notch, so if you are RRing while pew pewing, just drag your RR targets below the pew pew targets. Newly locked targets will be above the RR targets.

You could also pay attention to what you're doing.
