Hi all,

I know with all the development and ideas floting about keeps CCP happy and busy.

But has any one stopped for a few hours and looked at the 2 possible games that might distract EVE and rob players.

1. Space Citizen.
Has very powerful startup fund with quite a few good promising things going to be rolled out with it.

2. Elite Dangerous.
Again a nice start up fee with a load of followers from the old days of gaming. Being more towards EVE that Star Citizen I like some of the ideas they are comming up with.

I love EVE and want it to carry on for the next 10 Years at least but with these two big boys comming in the future possibly landing Nov 2014 may cause a serious threat to EVE. I think be good for CCP not to rob or steal ideas but certanly consider some of the advanced thigs they are doing.

On I liked was Elite showing pirates attacking a cargo ship but not actually killing it, they damaged it enough to cause the cargo to leak out so an be stolen. But ship remains in tact.

Maybe the idea could be changed to damaging a ship enough to take its modules ... would be nice to use on faction fitted ships..
like a loot pinata :)

'Tech3 ships need to be put down, like a rabid dog drooling everywhere in the house, they are out of line' CCP Ytterbium Nerf missile range into place where is the TD missile change?  ..projectiles should use capacitor. ABC's should be T2 HABC and nerf web strength its still too high

It's called Star Citizen

Eve is a different game to them both as they've both stated they are "Not MMOs".

Also Star Citizen has "perma death!" :D ... sort of

But more space games is always a good thing as they can feed off eachother etc.

EVE isnt going to fail because its too well established and it does things no other game company will do. Namly promoteing foul play as long as the game mechanics allow it. No other game is as pvp centric as EVE and thats what is going to keep people comeing.

I personally will try the other games, mainly because im really into PVE, logistics (and I mean shiping and building not repping) and industry. But I dont plan on leaveing EVE, mainly because of the plex pay model. Or as I like to call it, "Make Someone Else Pay to Play" MSEP2P.

Eve has been around for ten years, over that time several space themed games have come out including two with a very strong franchise behind them namely Start Trek and Start Wars. Eve is still around stronger than ever, what does that tell you?

Sable's Ammo Shop at Alentene V - Moon 4 - Duvolle Labs Factory. Hybrid charges, Projectile ammo, Missiles, Drones, Ships, Need'em? We have'em, at affordable prices. Pop in at our Ammo Shop in sunny Alentene.

Star Wars Galaxies
Star Trek Online
Star Wars the Old Republic
Universe Online
Infinity
Earthrise
Black Prophecy
Jumpgate Evolution
Infinity: Quest for Earth

Each of these killed EvE already.

If you're driven to threaten others with harm or violence because of what they do in game, you can't separate fantasy from reality. That "griefer/thief" is probably more sane than you are. How screwed up is that?

rofl, got to it before I could. i've onl;y een playing EVE since 2007 but every single year it's "omg, this new game will kill EVE", and nothing EVE does.

Which, as I like to say not only makes EVE the most epic space game, it's an epic ZOMBIE game too, because it just won't die (no matter how many times someone sets the London servers on fire lol).
