Hello, I gave Odyssey exploration a try a couple days ago and had been scanning down every site fine. Today I've had 3 data/relic sites impossible to scan down past 80%. I'm using an imiscus with gravi rigs, normal launchers and mediocre astrometric skills so I can understand this I just hadn't seen this before so I am wondering if it is new

(Yes I am scanning in the same high sec systems I have done before)

It just means you finally came across a 0.025 sig

I pinned one the other day from an Ishtar (unbonused) just to check, no rigs, all you have to do is shift the probes closer together than the default UI gives you for 0.025. Went from 80% to 100% over the course of a few further shifts.

I hear there has also been a faction/deadspace loot nerf, a nanoribbon nerf and an invention success nerf!

But yeah - just because it is a data/relic site doesn't neccessarily mean it is 'easy' to scan.

Thanks, just wanted to be sure. Interesting tip on the probes, I had just assumed the new pinpoint spread pattern was mathematically the best or something

Not sure how you got a sky-is-falling impression from reading my post. I asked if it had always been this way and I was answered.

I don't think there is anything particularly wrong with the box, I just needed the probes closer together than the default interface allows - as it steps with the probe size increments rather than the old smooth zoom where you fixed the probe size increment yourself.

I think the smooth zoom is on a different hotkey but I can't remember offhand what it defaults to now.

Get Sisters Probes, they are reasonably cheap (ok, cost as much as your ship hull Smile) Since you can't leave them behind anymore they are very cost effective. Also grab the 2 mid slot modules that add strength and reduce deviation.
