I really believe that CFC actually has the upper hand on this, mainly due to the fact that a big chunk of the opposition is mainly interested in having fun. SOV grinding is one of the most soul-crushing eve mechanics, and the CFC are in this for the long run. The current level of sub-cap fights and ops is unsustainable, and so is the attention span of some of the alliances involved in the fight.

Thus, I think that the much more coherent, monolithic, organized and space-rich CFC will outlast the looser clusterf@ck of separate entities in the game of attrition and TEST will be left in the end alone in this again.

Interesting point you raise, about:

Although I'm sure forming up to help rep TEST structures or shoot CONDI SBUs is a great fun, in fact it's pretty much known by all the CFC people that we're gonna blueball a ton. In fact, none other than the indefatigueable DABIGREDBOAT is starting to give us stats on our blueball efforts.

That said, it's good training. I went out and whored on some TEST SBU killmails.

Personally I hope that this gives us the new Great War that we've needed for years, but there's no way the current momentum can be maintained by either side - the subcap losses of both coalitions are staggering, and can't be sustained at that level. But neither side has had a decisive loss yet.

Frankly, I think this is already the next Great War, it's just that we're in the opening phases as of yet. Mark my words, this war will still be going on a year from now.

years doubtful. maybe 6-9 months, goons dont like to lose and when they get curb stompped like we all know is about to happen to them. most of the nerd faucet will dry up on thier end. and they will move on. prob to pirate puzzle or something.

Whether Goons lose or not is unimportant, the other side is based exclusively on their "anti-goon" agenda. If goons remain strong, the coalition will continue fighting them everywhere. If they don't remain strong, the coalition will turn on itself, just as it has before the war. If either side loses, we're likely to see a major migration to another part of null. Meanwhile, the Russians are keeping a low profile, waiting to pounce back now that their enemies are busy in the west.

My guess? It/ll turn into a war of attrition, just like the old BoB-Goons conflict. We're facing some highly turbulent times imo.

Goons will "get curb stompped like we all know is about to happen to them." So I wouldn't worry too much about it.

If the goons lose this war, and lose a large percentage territory and income streams, you can bet that their CSM reps will start applying serious pressure to CCP to change the game mechanics to something that weakens the power of holding null sec territory and moons.

You mean like they've been doing for years?

Roll Right - they are soo good at making CCP do what they want that the latest expansion removed their revenue moongoo stream and put it somewhere else. Yep, definitely controlling things.

Clearly CCP has switched allegiances.

CCP Soundave has altered the deal.

Pray he does not alter it further.
