Out of Game Events and Gatherings

Don't know if i will manage to bring more people with me but i will be there for sure!

Count me in too (unless something happens).

I don't really care about go kart (50 EU ffs no way), but I am mildly interested in paintball (still pricey but meh).

I doubt I will find anyone to bring. Will try to spread the word around though.

Ok here is what i posted in the eve dust summerfest.
In short, no Summerfest this year.

OK, its more the due to make an announcement.
I will put it bluntly. No Summerfest this year.
The reasons:
Last year I spend about 3k euros trying to put the Summerfest in order and I got back nothing due to low attendance. That was not the big problem though since I had spend nearly 700 hours in that event risking my marriage.
This year I made it clear that I would spend neither the time nor the money in such an endeavor though I would try to put together a new Summerfest with my associates providing it was worth it.
We rent a big venue in advance which we had to cancel soon after we found out none of the big corporations would sponsor an event for a community of 500.000 players. We were alone.
Mr Alexander Niotis found a way to rent a big cinema making it possible for us to see presentations on a big cinema screen and TFX sound. Can you imagine the trailers shown in that?
Well then Fanfest happened, then the expansion and CCP had to take care of own business first and it makes sense for all of us off course but it took forever to get a definite answer for the level of support we would get. Due to a big load of work they would not be able to send devs this year but they would send us tons of prerecorder presentations and do skype sessions. Doubling this up with the scientists we had backing us up to do special presentations as well it was still a great event in the making.
To see how eager the Greek community was about this we made a Forum post asking for people interested to show that interest and post it. Eagernes? Well the private chats showed it would be a 150-200 people event. Not bad. The posts showed nothing and the numbers said that it would cost me around 1000 euros to make it happen again.
Sorry, I cannot afford that.
I will try once more next year and the year after. If I get the level of support my efforts are worth for we are going to have an amazing time again. But not this year.
Thank you all, most especially CCP Phantom, CCPGuard, CCPTorfi Frans, Ned Coker, the proffesors of the Kapodistrian University, Norstar, Mrs Samoili, Mr Vladimiros and Mr Varotsis, plus Mr Tassos and offcourse my associates Spyros Pappas, Alex Niotis and especially , Mrs Samoili.
As you can see it takes more than one to make such an event happen and the level of coordination-planning is way beyond description.
Lastly I would like to thank my family for the support through all that.
See you next year up close or in game for the next 40 some years of my life (hopefully).
