Stop the Spinning already!!! Anyone got a fix for the "why does my ship spin when I target&quo

So, I've read that pressing "C" stops the ship from spinning to automatically align to the targeted object, but in missions, it still does it every time I select another target. (The view of the ship is constantly rotating and making me dizzy as well as disoriented to the baddies)

This is new with this recent game update, so perhaps some one has a fix or workaround other than hitting C every time your ships spins.

The Big problem is if you want to align to a warp out point "just in case" , the visuals of the ship spins again and I have to turn the view to see my warp out point again.

I must be doing it wrong... and I thought this is the group to tell me just that?

well?

Maybe redo all your camera settings related to the automatic focusing? I mean click them on/off again and then set them to your preference. I've experienced something similar after some patches, where ingame functions didn't accurately correspond to what I had set in my options. Redoing them removed the problems.

There's an option under your directional scanner. Uncheck that.

If a game is causing actual physical dizziness, there is something very seriously wrong with you, and you should seek medical attention at the soonest possible opportunity.

Then press that button AND the C key a couple of times untill it "unsticks". I don't get why there are two keys for a simple toggle, and why sometimes one of them doesn't work either. It seems they are seperate things that do the same? I don't know anymore, just click that square and mash C untill its ok again.

I like the spinning makes the game more dynamic and less about red crosses in my overview.

In the selected item window, click the 3 lines in the top left of it for the options. Then uncheck the camera thing there. That solves it.

In all honesty, I would second his suggestion about medical help. Visual stimuli causing dizzyness that easily could be a sign orf a medical problem.
The way the advice was phrased was more snide and mocking than would have been appropriate, but the advice itself is still valid.

It may be nothing more than a Glasses kind of thing, but still, it may be worth checking out.

Up to you though.

Over the Overview there is a tracking option menu, you probably have the tracking option enabled, click the menu icon and disable camera tracking.

You also better make sure you have the d-scan tracking option disable, i'm not sure exactly what the difference is, but the d-scan option will make you camera align to objects you select in the overview.

If you play the game long enough you might even notice that your ship isn't "spinning" at all. All that is "moving" is your camera.

That also goes for "ship spinning" in stations. Your ship won't move an inch if you start "spinning", only the station interior does.
So actually it should be called "station interior spinning".

Oh and listen to the folks before me that told you about the "tracking" backet thingy you just have to turn off you always look at the same scene if you wish to do so.

Eve Minions is recruiting.

This is the law of ship progression!

you actually have to press C while it's spinning to turn it off, otherwise you can also turn it off in the options tab on the "selected items" window.

It's in the three lines thing in the "Selected Item" window.

Uncheck that and it will stop camera focusing.

Ok just for the record.

If your SHIP is spinning, then you are indeed doing something horribly wrong.

The camera however should be possible to stop.

Thanks all for both the technical advice and the medical warning..... although I was joking about the dizziness.... and indeed the it's the environment that is spinning... I will try the suggestions, except the Doctor one.

Gratz on coming back 3 weeks later to the thread to give the same advice that was already given.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.
