Why do more trolls show up when I try to help out new and old EVE Players

For some reason, I've been having problems with trolls showing up to my videos. Now I have a lot of videos. Videos on reviews, helping people with computer problems, and so on. But, the one thing that seems to attract trolls is my videos where I'm making a guide for EVE. More than not, there is more trolls that show up on the videos where I help new players.

Here is a prime example. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LugAW77600s
One of the other videos I had an extreme problem with trolls is a video where I showed new players how to make an instan.

Now I don't mind trolls going to my videos. In fact, that means I get more money... I mean more views. At the end of the day, this gets me closer to investing in a better setup. Also, some trolls help out. Like, some trolls tend to say what exactly is wrong (with adding a lot of other useless crap).
However, the EVE videos have not been attracting trolls like that. They tend to attract trolls like in the link above. (BTW, look at the kids page. No videos, so this one doesn't know how it takes 2+ hours to make 1 video that's 15 or so min long. The kid lies about his age (obviously it's a guy).)

Assuming these trolls are EVE players (since it's targeted to only those videos), why do you think this is happening? Does long time EVE players want this game to die? (some people are leaving because they aren't getting any help from anyone until now (a lot of new players come up to me and they say thank you. They tell me there isn't too much out there on topics I cover)
Could it be these EVE players don't want to rely on their own skills? Like they want noobs to stay in the dark so they are basically sitting targets.

EDIT: YouTube took off his comment or he did. Check out the comment I copy and pasted from him in page 2.
Also, this question is talking about trolls on here and YouTube.

I'm confused. As a troll, someone who tried to help new players and was trolled, or the troll in the video?

If you are the troll in the video, then please explain why exactly troll guides that are meant to help new players.

The idea of questioning the nature of trolls on both the internet and in EVE is a troll unto itself. Do yourself a favor, and don't join the recursion loop.

I suggest you play a more active roll helping new players. Perhaps a website and some giveaways. Perhaps you could make a training corp. Now maybe you're already doing these things, I don't know. Here's an example where the trolls come out in force against me trying to help a new person:

See Bio for isk doubling rules. If you didn't read bio, chances are you funded those who did.

Maybe posting in the new player forum area instead of GD would attract your intended audience.

I might do that down the road, but it will have to wait until I get a few more guides out on the Rookies in EVE.

They are coming in force like that on YouTube, but I'm able to delete and ban them. I am just trying to figure out why exactly they don't want anyone to help new players (if there is a reason).

As I said to Erotica 1, I am just trying to find a reason to why they do what they do. Anyways, one thing I notice in this game is trolls/haters. It seems like whenever something or someone helps this game's longevity out, trolls come in force.
For example, when CCP puts out a GOOD update or someone helps noobs, people troll them.

the trolls are like the bullies in school, they are people with low selfesteeme who just want to put others down to feel better, there are many in eve and they do not want more players to come to the game because they fear that other players see who they really are, at the moment they got things under control

they think they are cool but if more grownups come, they will loose that coolness and everybody will realize how pathetic they are, thats also a reason why they are afraid that girls come to the game because girls tend to just see the fools in them, thats also the reason why they are against WiS and more social activities in the game...

Trolls will always try to get a response out of people who post any original content. They'll latch onto something they don't like and dig their claws in. I don't upload videos but each time I comment on a physics video (I have a degree in physics and work in a lab) the crackpots come out in force. I had some nutjob send me a 2000 word rant once.

As for suggestions, Invest in a new mic ASAP. I didn't want to listen to more than half a minute of each video because of bad audio. If you want to monetize your channel, like you hint at, you'll make it easier for casual clickers to sit through the videos and it'll remove something for trolls to complain about.

Also, I rolled my eyes at the intro to your insta-undock tutorial. JonnyPew's intro is very recognizable, no one likes a copycat.

That's funny you mention that. I've gotten a massive amount of trolls who cry about that when I said something like, I think walking in stations is great. In fact, the last one I deleted b...h about the WIS, and how I was talking about it in that same video I linked.

Anyways, I generally never understood those that hated the WIS when you're not forced to use it.

I can't afford one. The ones I need is around $200-$300. The one I have is http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000I4RMOU/ref=oh_details_o04_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

As far as JonnyPew. I know of him, but the intro really relates to star trek. I've done some "space adventure" videos and missions, and that's what that intro is for. I never made an intro for the guides before Rookies in EVE.
The reason why I didn't make an intro is because I didn't know how far I was going to take the guides.

I wasn't referring to this thread.

But, I don't know why you feel the need to bring a discussion about it here, unless you just want to hear that water is wet.

Ahh in that case I'm misinformed. Oops I noticed a similarity to another Eve youtuber's intro and thought it was deliberate.

As for the mic, I still highly recommend it. Maybe go with a cheaper model as a compromise in the meantime? Something that will cut out some of the reverb and rumble that I'm hearing in your videos now.

It's OK. But keep in mind the amount of YouTube channels out there. There is a high likely there is going to be a lot of similar content, even more so when people are talking about the same game/topic.

As far as my mic. I wonder if it's because the mic is too close or too far from my mouth.

Honestly I don't see any point in questioning trolling on the 2013 internet. I seems to be the next level of the old school rotor dial prank call of the 70's on steroids.

Anytime you put out something for public consumption you can count on those that don't like it AND those that will troll it just because they can.

"ANY" fuel(concern, worry, thought, wonder, etc...) is just music to their ears and therefore should not be provided. Things tend to burn out pretty fast without fuel. Blink
