When at a data/relic site remember to hack ALL the containers. Even if the possible loot is not to your liking it is to your benefit to hack them all. Containers that are not hacked will remain causing the site to NOT despawn. If they do not despawn then you will not get fresh sites spawning else where.

Remember, hack everything even if you do not want the loot that is contained.

Thank you for your time.

Right, because everyone will do what you want!

Anyway, supposedly it has been fixed.

Dont need to full hack the crap containers. Just run the data\relic analyer twice and close the popups. Container will explode, takes less than 10 sec.

From the linked thread

CCP Bayesian wrote:
CCP Prime just submitted a fix for this problem. Sites will despawn a reasonable amount of time after the first can is hacked.

Reasonable time means several hours at least. I had to leave a site yesterday and came back hours later with the site still intact.

its not always to your interest to despawn a site, for example if you dont want to support your competition.

Typically a PSA is to the benefit of everyone. People will do what they want but a little education might help.

You are correct, supposedly it has been fixed. I might have just been unlucky to happen across five data sites in a row each with a single can not hacked an hour before today's downtime.

Soulfreeze Tichim, excellent suggestion.

Interesting thought although by not despawning the site you hurt yourself too as the over all number of viable sites that can be done by others and yourself.

Hence the reference in the linked dev post to the prisoner's dilemma, which is actually quite appropriate here.

It's because of the ' getting encoded and something else in the process.

Stupid forum code... yes, that's it. Should have tested it myself.
