Havn't played the game since late 2006 and am now pretty clueless as to which direction to take with my character.

On last check I was working towards fitting T2 frigates. Also notice I have 4 million unused skill points now?

Any thoughts on what ship to get back into PvE with?

Is there a way of putting my skill sheet online?

Thanks

use Evemon to see which skills you can get with your current stats,
Also you may want to read about changes in the game.

for PVE you mean security missions?

Yep. The unused skill points will largely be from when they got rid of Learning skills and reimbursed everyone the SP. Plus some other things here and there.

So what's your SP total just now? If you're around the frigate/battlecruiser mark for PvE ships, maybe a Drake or something like that. If you're up battleships, then anything using cruise missiles (e.g. Raven, Typoon) is pretty good for PvE. But people can tell you more when you post your skills online, if you want to.

My SP is around 14million. I have a feeling my skills are poorly divided. I had a fit for harpy with blasters possibly.

my plan would make me better at blowing things up! my advice is pretty general, but if you have anything specific come to mind feel free to ask.

A lot of people like to make fun of the certificate system, but Core Elite is pretty damn useful.

lets start at the top: Drones, I'd get t2 scout drones, they are useful in so many ships. Also drone interfacing to 4, and electronic warfare drone interfacing to 4 (extra drone control range, and ecm drones)

Electronics: nothing "must have" here I think, I'd get tracking disruptors, oh and the new compensation skills that give you extra sensor strength! and might want to get propulsion jamming up a bit to get t2 webs/points.

Engineering: cap and shield skills, the more the merrier.

Gunnery: Trajectory analysys, falloff is pretty big on blasters and most long range weapons. And Controlled bursts.

Mechanics, I think the rig skills are here, but other than that can mostly ignore outside of hull upgrades and mechanics for that extra hp and t2 damage controls.

Missiles: I mostly ignored missiles for years, I trained a bunch as I was on a per/wp remap but I almost never use them. I much prefer guns! that said t2 heavy missiles are pretty useful.

Navigation: can get away with not a ton of points here. of course more is better, but I wouldn't prioritize it a ton, maybe do navigation 5 sooner than later, but eh.

spaceship command: Battlecruisers are pretty nice, and use mostly the same skills as cruisers.

This is absolutely not the case for PvP where range control is king. Since you are returning after a href (possibly induced by boredom) why not start afresh with some T1 frigate faction warfare? Good isk, an awful lot more interesting than missions and it will set you up well for whatever path you decide to go down later.
