BREAKING NEWS: TIBUS HETH DENOUNCED BY CEP, TO BE OUSTED AS KK CEO

Quote:
NEW CALDARI – The Chief Executive Panel has released a statement calling Tibus Heth “the leader of a terrorist insurgency against the Caldari State” and has removed him from the role of State Executor. The decision came after a board vote of the megacorporation CEOs, with Kaalakiota abstaining as Heth, who legally remains Chief Executive, was not present. The seven CEOs unanimously voted against Heth.

Shortly after, the Kaalakiota Corporation board announced that they will be holding a shareholder vote in the coming days to decide on a new leadership strategy. Exercising their powers under corporate law, the board has declared Tibus Heth an outlaw in Kaalakiota territories and vacated the position of CEO. Following the shareholder vote, the board will begin the search and selection process of appointing a new CEO. The Kaalakiota board of directors have been carrying out CEO-level executive functions at the megacorporation since Heth first disappeared from public two weeks ago.

The siege in Haatomo, where Tibus Heth and his insurgents have sealed themselves into a Caldari Constructions station, still shows no signs of progress. The Caldari Navy has declared it is taking a “wait and see” approach, as it believes thousands of Caldari Constructions workers may be held captive by heavily-armed terrorists.

Finally, some sanity. Let's hope they do not repeat their previous mistake.

Took them long enough.
He should have been deposed when he started the situation in Haatomo, though, frankly, I think he has done plenty of questionable things before this, and shouldn't have even been allowed to remain in power to get to this point, and KK should have replaced him with a competent businessman years ago (say what you will about his politics and interstellar relations, KK's situation demonstrates the man can't run a company).

As I suggested in another thread, the Caldari State can dispose of Tibus Heth, rescue their staff in Haatomo and completely absolve themselves of consequence.

They merely have to grant him safe passage to Algogille.

The Gallente will cheerfully welcome him. Its what he wants afterall.

The Disciples of Ston as a neutral, humanitarian organization stand by to offer asylum and shelter to any involved in this conflict. The DSS Safe Harbor is on temporary assignment in Haatomo and is available to house any who are willing to lay down arms and seek shelter. We will not harbor those who wish to continue violence, but will harbor any who wish to disarm themselves and seek protection.

Power-hungry bastards!

With respects, stay out of State business, Mister Nalthkh.

When they come for Heth, Cold Wind will be two steps behind them - you don't want to put yourself in the position of being there when they do.

For the first time since I started the conversation, he looks me dead in the eye. In his gaze are steel jackhammers, quiet vengeance, a hundred thousand orbital bombs frozen in still life.

This won't end well, but the blood that will be spilled is a necessary sacrifice for the future of the Caldari State.

My crew and I have already stationed our ship in orbit of the station and will await any sign of Heth and his cronies. Mark my words, he will not get out alive.

Did you not say yourself that if Heth was removed by the CEP, then you would follow it as the will of the Caldari State? Or is your delusional loyalty to one man only hardening because you're afraid to admit having fallen under the sway of a bloodthirsty sociopath?

Just trying to keep things straight here.

What?

Diana, this has been on the cards for months now. Heth was my hero too, as a boy, but as a man I realise the danger he has placed our State in, as a Caldari I understand it is my duty to support the CEP in this and as a Civire I have the strength and the will to do so.

Heth was a hero. Now he's not same man anymore his actions prove it as does his words.

i'd hate to be the person who's making the calls in the navy since this has to be one of the tougher ones regardless what the CEP says.

Captain Tuulinen I admire your loyalty to the State, commend your statement and I'm Gallente no less. If you are in the station in Haatomo I suggest strongly that you surrender immediately to the CEP forces outside. I'm sure that you would not be alone in thinking that you no longer owe any loyalty to Tibus Heth as he is no longer State Executor. You might be wise to engineer a mass breakout of similarly minded Captains that remain in there with you.

Caldari justice will recognise your loyalty to the State and (most likely) grant an amnesty. This like all things remains in the hands of the Caldari themselves.

Best of luck Captain.

It looks for sure now there is going to be a showdown. When Heth breaksout of Haatomo and makes a stand i will fight along side him. There are pilots who will be on the side of the CEP who i will not be able to shoot at, even though they will probably shoot at me.

It will be a bloody day for sure!

Heth achieved what we had all wondered after when he first rose to power: he reclaimed Caldari Prime. I remember the jubilation, I remember sharing in it. But Heth also lost us Caldari Prime, and wished to burn it.

His glory has ended. The CEP's decision is regrettable, but not because it isn't deserved; it's regrettable because we wish that Heth remained deserving.

My marines on Haatomo have linked up with the State security forces on the station. Soon, we'll see this through, and we'll see the next day.
