Allow Implants outside of learning type to be placed in any slot 6-10.
Current system prevents many combinations/Specialization.
Perhaps create new t2/t3 implants that are not slot specific.

There's got to be someone with an opinion on this.

It's designed this way for a reason. I think it makes sense to keep it this way. It's the same reason you can't fit a low-slot module into a high-slot.

For example, under your plan, could I:

Put in four 1% PG implants to get a 4% total for way cheaper?
Put in four 3% PG implants to get a 12%?

Or ridiculous DPS:
6% to large energy/hybrid/projectile turret damage
6% to large energy/hybrid/projectile rate of fire -> 12.77% cumulative increase
6% bonus to all turret damage (surgical strike) ->19.5% cumulative bonus
6% to all turret ROF -> 27.16% cumulative bonus
6% bonus to tracking/falloff/optimal

That would far exceed what we're allowed to do now, as the rof and damage implants use the same slot

Nevermind that effect stacking is multiplicative, so your four 1% or 3% implants would equal out to more than just 1% or 12%.

Why, I could even fill all my learning slots with HG T2 implants and fill all my hardwire slots with the matching HG Omega. Now that would be truly broken.

Well something could be put in place to allow only 1 of each type of implant. Wouldn't be that hard.

Posted that it would only be applicable to slots 6-10

Good point. This would be broken.

You clearly do not seem to understand what I am saying here. Perhaps you don't know what HG T2 Implants are. I'll spell it out all list-like and annoy myself.

Neuts...

Snakes and Halo sets with loki and/or ragnarok bonuses will be fun. Also how about filling 6-10 slots with skirmish or siege/armored mindlinks on booster alt?

Opinions are like assholes. Everybody got one and everyone thinks everyone else's stinks.

With that crystal setup you would want to use a x-large ASB and then you are looking at boosting a raw 3224HP/cycle

If you don't follow the rules, neither will I.

1-minute reload time and ship cargo is limited (in case of dual ASB). On other hand: if you use 5x siege mindlinks and T2 Shield Harmonizing link even on unbonused hull you'll get more than 100% (142.38% to be precise) resistance bonus - damage immunity; or more than -100% to sig radius to whole fleet.

Opinions are like assholes. Everybody got one and everyone thinks everyone else's stinks.

yes i suppose an omega gives no attribute bonus. OP didn't take that into consideration. Idea would exclude omegas.

They should invent this thing called 'Position' and put the implants into groups that were one Position or another. You can only use one implant with each Position... wait a minute...
