CCP- what r you guys thinking towards marauders? not finished stats, just general role change

we are curious to know the direction you guys are thinking about taking marauders.
exploration? t2 hac bs? worm hole survivability? scanning/probing?
jump drive style capital support? reconn extension into bs? salvage king?


we keep posting kewl ideas with no response (i know yer busy), but if u guys gave us a general direction that you're leaning towards, we can gear comments that way and possibly provide assistance.

they have been broke for 7 years and we dont want to deal with another 7.
so, we wanna help. thats all..=)

'Tech3 ships need to be put down, like a rabid dog drooling everywhere in the house, they are out of line' CCP Ytterbium Nerf missile range into place where is the TD missile change?  ..projectiles should use capacitor. ABC's should be T2 HABC and nerf web strength its still too high

With the exception of some possible minor adjustments to T1 ships, T2 are up for rebalancing now that Tiericide is over. They'll start with T2 frigates and move upward through the ship sizes just like they did with T1 ships. Don't expect any mention of T2 battleships before October.

i appreciate you chiming in, but i am just wondering the direction they are considering.
i dont want them to think for months and post something and then one of us comes up with a better direction and they have to reconsider it and delay things is all.

is it exploration? assault? are we going to make it a t2 battleship/hauler/roid ganker with x-large t2 capital strip miners and a
10 m3 cargo bay?

just an idea of the direction they are taking it is all i am asking..
a little skuttlebutt.

please alvatore, go sit in on one of the meetings and pick their brain..=)

If they raise sensor strength, they might nerf everything else.
Although I do like the idea of them being WH dedicated.

true.sansha ships need a buff like theres no tommorow.just a short fact : i have seen a succubus once in so many years of playing.and the last one i seen was like 3 years ago or 4.not to mention phantasm.nightmares are being used,but they are also pretty rare to spot.

blood : cruor is just meh.i have seen one last year and he died too fast.ashimmu is meh aswell.bhaalgorn is good but that needs a look at aswell

guristas : worm : i have never seen one in space.gila is ok`ish.rattlesnake is good too.but the problem with these ships are mainly drones.i have 12m sp in drones and i cant say i`m happy with them.they are just too easy to kill and vulnerable.the only advantage they have is that if you ship gets jammed,they will keep firing

serpentis : daredevils are common,vigilants are ok`ish.vindi is good,but it just doesnt feel like being a high end battleship.

angel : dramiel is just awfull after the nerf it had a while back.cynabal is good but lacks capacitor.mach has the same capacitor problem.

but then again.thats just my opinion.

I guess that CSs will be rebalanced first amongst the t2ships. Probably next expansion will have mentioned CS, pirate ships rebalances, improvements of Odyssey rebalance and new navy BSs (ex-tier3). I doubt that we will see reworked marauders soon. But still, CCP must give more discussion with T2 generation then T1.

unless they get rid of rat jamming (which i do not like the idea of (military moto...train like u fight, fight like you train-meaning how ever you practice is exactly how you will perform under fire, so if we have jamming in the belts, incursinos, worm holes and everywhere we look, when our new guys get in pvp, they will know exactly how to respond) they will need to do something about the sensor strength.

if its a t2 ship which has an additional 10x multiplier on top of the 8x for bs (and all the other requirements) it should NOT be gimped. in my opinion, the t2 should be more powerful than pirate because u have to train longer and harder to get in them.
t1 is what they had, then they made navy (upgraded version of t1). then, the pirates got ahold of them and modified them in different directions (but they are still t1 base ships). after they made everything and then pirates modified them, we stepped back and found new materials and new directions to go...introducing t2 (which should be superior to t1 in every way).

they should lock better, fly faster, hit harder, tank more and just be a general bad ass...unless they were made for cloaky stuff.
(thats my impression of how things should have went anyway).


now fastfoward to today: the marauders and commands were made 7 years ago. eve has changed directions almost completely in that time. why keep a ship stuck in the past when it can be modified a little and sent in a new direction? they dont need to gimp anything. according to the presentation in iceland during fanfest, they said they want to give us the ships and see how we play with them, not dictate how they will be. by telling us that the marauders are PVE ONLY is in direct conflict with what they are saying and the direction we as eve are heading.

i dont forsee them being gimped. i just want to know the direction so we can help a little in the design phase. take ownership of this game instead of just playing.
