Do any fights ever break out at fanfest?

Seven Fanfests, and I've never seen a single fight break out between EVE players.

Coupled with that, I can't even count how many player gatherings I've been to, and I've never seen a fight there either.

You might be a terrible pack of trolls who love to murderize eachother in game, but out of game you're really a lovely bunch who're awesome to go drinking with.

Probably because Fanfest is made up of spaceship nerds who maybe be famous for many things, but fighting is not one of them :)

Also, there's the fundamental question of why would there be any fights? It's not like EVE players are a bunch of psychopaths who can't distinguish between game and real life. Well, some might be — the ones who think that having their spaceship blown up in a blow-up-spaceships-game is tantamount to sexual assault and should be cause for legal action — but those nutjobs are too busy AFKing in highsec to travel to Iceland. Heard an interesting report from a corpmate who went to Fanfest. He said that some of the better-known, well-respected players in the game (one in particular) were complete and utter jerks with an exceptionally elitist attitude, while others who always troll and carry on were some of the best guys he was around during his trip.
