Ladar gas sites

Hey guys,

Have a question about Ladar sites. I want to get my alts in ventures and ninja gas from the high end sites. I really dont want to go through the hassle of clearing the sleeper spawns if possible. Means jumping into multiple wormholes with an expensive fleet.

Is it possible to try and ninja as much gas as possible before the sleepers spawn? How long does it take for them to spawn from when you initiate warp.

Again thanks for all your help guys!

Generally 15-20min

There at least used to be a way to mine the highest level ladars without getting sleeper aggro. Don't ask me how though, because I never tried it.

ok thats not bad. You get enough ventures you could still make decent money. Maybe farm the whole sites before they even wake up :).

Cheers dude

Yep with enough people you can mine it out before the sleepers spawn.

No local in null sec would fix everything!

Yeah, but you are throwing away isk. Half the time I make more from the sleepers than the gas, but then again I'm infamous lucky for gas sites. (If only it translated to regular sites.)

Similar to Derath, I somehow managed to mine the mid-grade ladar sites in a venture without drawing sleeper aggro.

I never tried in the 3-digit gas sites, I'm guessing the battleship spawns would have larger aggro range.

Never really tried to figure out what the mechanics were, I just enjoyed saying "the sleepers have accepted me, I am one of their tribe now" in corp chat every time it happened.

Mind you, this was all before the patch. Ugh

I've never actually tried it. I've just heard it could be done. I believe with the big sites you have to get to the farthest edge of the cloud which puts you outside of aggro range. Never bother trying. I just don't like harvesting gas enough to bother generally.

In our corp we have about 13 people who can fly ventures so might be able to ninja all the gas and make some decent ISK for the corp.

I believe the ventures not getting aggro was fixed a couple of weeks after they went live.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

Besides, you can get decent ISK off of grav/ladar rats anyway. (What, did the OP think they don't ever drop MNRs?) What?

When you warp to these sites, can you harvest the gas at 0km or do you have to move much?

Thanks guys looking forward to stealing all your gas XD

There are two clouds: a small cloud (500 units) and a big cloud (6000 units). In a Vital, the small is a C320 cloud, while the large cloud is a C540 cloud. It is opposite in an Instrumental. Only the C320 is valuable if you ninja mine.

The clouds are about 70 km apart I think, so fit an MWD.

Straight

Or, you know, bookmark the other cloud, and then warp out and in again.

Sue me for being simple.

A venture with a MWD will burn to the second cloud faster than you can warp off and back again.

All our venture alts have like 50k sp so it might be quicker to use an alt to get a warp-in on the first cloud, while the ventures do their thing burn 200km off with the MWD alt and bounce to the second. if you can bookmark gas clouds?? lol

Yes you can bookmark gas clouds, just like well, everything else in space pretty much!

C50 is a great ninja-cloud and you can mine almost all of it before the sleepers spawn assuming you activated the site.
