Odyssey is Here: Where are the Live Events?

When can we reasonably expect to start seeing live events now that Odyssey is out? Is there some sort of plan for regular (i.e. once a month or more often) events? Or will it be once in a blue moon, out of the blue?

Looks like Haatomo is a ramp-up for a big fleet fight.

I'm not familiar with what you're referring to? Is there some post or devblog I've missed?

Nope. Got a link? To be clear, I'm not talking about player run events.

Always keep an eye on the World news items. A small showdown yesterday, nothing too big yet, but I expect that will change.

Ah ha! I didn't expect information to be in multiple places. Other than that news source, is there some particular place other than this subforum for Live Event info from CCP (not random people)?

Thanks for the heads up!

The twitter feed tends to give a heads up when something is about to go down. Live Events Twitter feed

Also, join the Live Events in-game channel. Lots of discussion going on there.

The EVE Facebook page will also post similar updates as Twitter.

The twitter/FB are usually updated -just- as something is about to happen.

If you use the 'Declare Your Allegiance!' thread, you can evidently get advance warning from representatives of the faction before something hits the fan.

Events will be slowing down over the summer post Odyssey, as quite a few CCPers take summer vacations with their families, or go overseas to see relatives if they're not native to Iceland.

As such, we'll be dialing the schedule down for a few months, but we do have some ideas in mind to keep those of you still playing over the summer interested. Myself and a couple of others aren't taking summer vacation, so we'll be around to keep the ball rolling at a more relaxed pace.

We'll be looking to experiment with different formats of events over the summer to see what the uptake is like on participation, but the schedule will be nowhere near as busy as it has been since last October.

Hope this answers your question Smile

Forgive me for not being informed, but other than the Caldari Prime event, what live events have taken place?
