Hi all,

I'm going through the tutorials right now after checking available specializations. I plan on being a explorer/scavenger/miner.

That being said I did the explorer tutorial first and finished it and handed a nice shiny probe. I then moved onto industrial line for mining and moved over to the venture. I no longer have my blast or my probe ships. I didnt sell them I know and the closest thing ive done to dangerous is strip fittings, however, this was not on my blast which is also gone.

Was wondering what happened to my ships?

thanks for any help

You sure you didn't move stations? Check your assets box, looks like a big block safe in the left hand menu, that should list everything you own where ever it is.

Yeah I already checked there, sorry for not mentioning it. I have been staying in the school the whole time. I left my civilian shield in the tutorial station but everything else is here with me. My reaper is still here but both the blast frigate and the probe are gone. I don't seem to be missing any items either, only ships

I think I finally figured out what i did with them.... I reprocessed them :/ during my ore mission.... I think I reprocessed the whole ship instead of the cargo.

*sigh*

New question, any way of me getting at least my probe back? or will this be part of my learning curve?

Probably have to buy a new one... You can also do another set of tutorials with another agent from one of the other races and they'll give you the equivalent for that race. I myself did the Amarr and Minmatar.

At least you could before the expansion... Pretty sure that hasn't changed but not positive.

Well I appreciate the help and thanks. I'll probably end up buying it. The next step is a tier II right? So there isn't a small step up to the next "explorer" ship correct? This will be a ship I use for a long time till I could move up to the tier II.

Trying to keep my facts straight.

Well, next step will surely be T2. But also covert ops cloak. And be able to defend yourself against hostiles.

So you need to be fast: probing and moving. You also need to be stealthy, so you can do stuff in lowsec. And you surely need to be able to escape, in case you've been made. It's not all about the ship skill :)

So, to 'learn', you probably want to go T1 frigates -> T1 cruisers -> T1 battlecruisers. Then, go "back" and start the T2 counterparts. Even if you solely want to do exploration, you'll need the other aspects of the game as you progress in time. You'll see that some combat sites needs more punishment than others, and you'll don't want to just sit helplessly in space cursing yourself because you can't fly the required ship.

Also, a ship is nothing if you can't sustain any damages. It is essential to learn the appropriate support skills. Learning eve is hard, learning eve takes time.

a Tech 2, not a Tier 2, tiers existed before the rebalance, ships now are divided in roles along tech levels.

If you are still on trial account - consider to create another character. I am not allowed to post here the details, but if you use buddy invites you can get several hundred milions isk, after you upgrade your new account to the regular, not a tryal one. And with this money you can buy a battle cruiser, that is designed to be used as all-in-one exploration ship. It sucks in PvP but has really nice exploration bonus. I am talking about Gnosis. Now you still buy it for 60 - 70 mio ISK. But later it will become too expensive. This ship is not produced any more - players sell what they got few weeks ago. For a next few weeks or months you will be good with exploration frigate and cruiser, but later on you will explore some combat signatures, where even cruiser will not be enough to clear them before other players come and take you reward. For data nad relict sites you will be good with the exploration frigate, as long as you stay out of wormholes. And exploration frigate itself you can buy after less then an hour of mining.

Oh my, don't be overly secretive. You are not allowed to advertise for a specific player's buddy invite scheme, but you can always link the entire thread: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=9874 (which happens to be at the very top of this forum).

And while a Gnosis can be a nice ship for exploration, you need more skills to fly it right than other ships - I really wouldn't suggest it to a new player, even though you need almost no skill to undock with it.

No skills required to sit in a ship != No skills required to fly the ship.
But we do need to lose more Genoses so that the price goes up more.

p.s. What is the plural of Gnosis?

Do another exploration tutorial for one of the other two Minmatar exploration career agents in Hadaugago or Malukker.

Wooo all kinds of good information here thanks guys/gals Smile

I will be stumbling around again when the server is back off maintenance, (currently looking for where contracts are in all those buttonsP )

So I know its technically off topic and vaguely on topic but what are the skills I should look for aiming at?

From what Ive read so far and what digging I could do myself. The covert ops branch is my branch, so cloak and... that's all I got. Ive been on 3 days so I'm in that excitement rush before you realize how long you have to wait on thingsCoolbut this looks like my kinda game so I'll probably subscribe, and so if I do that I wanna make sure I specialize correctly.

Thanks again everyone keep the help coming im all ears Smile ... or is it eyes since im reading?
