allow noctis to use all acceleration gate sites to salvage

I would like to see the noctis be able to get into any site that has an acceleration gate to salvage. I mean seriously, you make a salvage ship and it cant be used everywhere it should be? When you can take a T3 cruiser in a site and not a noctis there's a problem.

ORE should just make a proper fast moving and aligning salvage destroyer. The only reason we have a salvage cruiser is because everyone liked the Primae model.

i think a salvaging equivalent of a venture is a gap that could be filled.

It'd be simpler to just fix the gates to allow the noctis into everything.

ib4 guns on a noctis in level 1 missions!

As much as I love the Venture, a salvager should have 8 high slots.

*Especially* with the new loot pinatas.

not having 8 high slots is the price you pay for the warp stab bonus, the quick align time, and the myriad of other perks that come with having a small, agile ship.

Well, if the issue is with lvl 1-2 missions, even new players should be smart enough to realize they are better off grinding rep without salvaging so they can get on to higher lvl missions and salvage those.

its not the level 1 or 2 missions. Its the deadspace and other exploration sites the new guys cant get a Noctis into.

What would that achieve apart from crashing the salvage prices even more?

It would actually be funny if ORE made combat ships as payback. Something like a last laugh to those who prey on miners. Blink

…or just bookmark and come back later, since it's a waste of time to do the tiny clouds of wrecks left behind one at a time?

what about the sites that never despawn and are always full of wrecks? You should be able to take a noctis in those and clear them out. Who wants to fly a fricking destroyer around salvaging when you have a dedicated and totally better ship to do it in now? It makes no sense!

This is precisely what I do. Bookmark the wreck most central to the cloud of wrecks. From there I can easily reach everything. Rake in the salvage and then go home.

In each room:

1. Right click loot when all baddies are dead

2. Select "save location"

3. Save one piece of loot in each room

4. Complete mission/site - gates disappear

5. Go back with Noctis and warp to each bookmark

Problem solved. What the hell are you complaining about?

You mean like a Venture? That's what I use mine for.

I don't see why not. If it's just for salvage, and you're looting as you clear, how much cargo space could you need?

What the OP is hinting at but not directly saying is that he wants CCP to give him free, no-risk ISK. He wants to hop into 4/10's like in Deltole and sit at 80km from all the rats so he never gets aggro and just tractors everyone ELSE'S wrecks that he begs in local for them to blue. That way he doesn't have to do a damn thing to make ISK but salvage all the wrecks others could care less about. As much as it hurts my eyes to see all those wrecks that player DO leave behind, this is a terrible idea. Go into said plexes with a Cane/Drake/etc and salvage at <24km while fighting NPC's, just like everyone else does.

Capt. Malcolm Reynolds: "You have no idea how true that is".
