I'd try switching to fixed window, or maybe just need to turn down settings?

and of course you can always try clearing the cache. will lose your settings but if you are just coming back you might have not had them anyways.

Yeah it appears to do it when shader quality is on high, but it works fine on medium.

It's a problem with the latest nvidia drivers.

Either set shaders to medium or roll back to previous version.

I just returned to the game and have a problem with my computer crashing in the station. I get about 30 secs before it crashes and restarts. guess i have to update my drivers..

Well known Nvidia driver problem (latest release). Either roll back the drivers or set shaders to medium. Or wait until the new drivers are released, both Nvidia and CCP are aware of the issue.
