Yes. The methods are different from the old days, but crime is alive and well, despite CCPs best efforts. I've made safaris my speciality lately, but suicide ganks, suspect baiting and mission invasion are alive and well. Wardecs are somewhat hobbled, but still exist. Can flipping is dead and we mourn it by ceremonially playing the bagpipes every single time a carebear cries.

There are a couple organizations operating right now, including minerbumping, which does miner harassment and suicide ganks, Belligerent Undesirables, which does a bit of everything but specializes in safaris/awoxing and Blackport, which invents all the scam everybody swears they'd never fall for. Suddenly Ninjas is a bit less than it used to be, but still exists and does respectable work. On top of that there's tons of independents who do incredible work despite having no support system.

For some examples of the sort of work being done these days check www.belligerentundesirables.com and associated forum. My good friend Aiden Mourn is also blogging some good stuff over at http://aidenmourn.wordpress.com/ (he has a ponzi scheme post from a month or two back that's especially good.) Haedonism Bot also has some good stories, but the link to his stuff is escaping me just this second.

Lowsec is better, but not great. It's gotten better with the FW revamp and should get better again as Tags4Sec happens only in lowsec belts, but the vast majority of lowsec is still either empty, FW stuff (where the targets are mostly just frigs) and consensual small gang/solo stuff. It's basically the socially acceptable place to go pvp, which isn't fun. Socially acceptable sucks.

Although take that with a grain of salt as I don't lowsec very much.

I promise i know all the bottleknecks. I promise to know all hub undocks. I promise to get in my fave lawn chair and crack a cold one. I can buy a couple plexes for isk so meh. There is no escape.
