Single account / switching characters

Will ccp ever create a simple menu so i / we can switch characters or do i have to quit the game every bloody time i want to play on another toon?
If Blizzard can do this for "world of warcraft" why can't ccp for eve?

Blizzard probably has a software patent to do be able to do it.

surely though its just common sense they allow us to create 3 toons per account so why not make a menu option to switch to another toon rather than having to quit each time, they even removed the log off option...........

Yeah I agree. I don't see why they can't simply put portraits of each toon on the launcher so we can pick there. It would save a little time. I'm sure they will make it easier in future updates.
