What else to train on (Jump) Freighter character

Hi,

I made a character specific for flying (jump) freighters (Charon and Rhea) and I think I got all important skills covered. In the meantime I transferred the character to my main account, but I still have 226'299 SP free to spend, and would like to discuss some options.

This is the character in question: http://eveboard.com/pilot/Laura_Hiata

In some other thread (unfortunately already closed) someone suggested training Gravimetric Sensor Compensation to IV, as this would make it harder to probe the freighter. Does this really matter with a ship that size?

And I though I could also train Contracting and Infomorph Psychology to IV, as jump clones and contract slots are always nice to have.

Those three skills combined would just fit into the available free SP amount.

Can you think of some other useful skills? Keep in mind, if it doesn't help flying freighters I won't need it, as I do not want to do anything else with this character.

Cheers,

My understanding is that the sensor comp skills only make you harder to jam with ECM, not harder to probe down. I don't think it will help a freighter pilot in any way, since your max targets is 0.

Contracts may be legit if you will ever use this toon for creating contracts, but you don't need a skill just to accept them, which seems more like what a freighter pilot would be doing.

Clones would be nice if you plan to have more than one freighter and leave them scattered around various places. Otherwise, I'm not sure what you'll use them for.

Social and Connections would be useful if you ever plan to grind standings for this toon, though I have no idea why you would want them if it's already neutral to all factions.

Otherwise, maybe Trade and Daytrading. If you can only have two trading skills, that will give you more orders and let you update them while in space. If you're using this toon for spec hauling, it could be useful to place your own buy orders.

EvE is supposed to suck.  Wait . . . what was the question?

Comps make you harder to scan. Marginally. Won't make a bit of difference in a freighter though.

Train all the other races. You only need Freighter 4 and the prerequisite has been reduced to racial Industrial 3.

I already have another char for this (and cyno wouldn't make sense, this the char is on the same account as my main, and those two are the only chars I have that can fly ships with jump drive.

That would be too much to skill, I only want to use the free SP I can distribute. Besides I won't buy any other freighters.

Just get Infomorph Psychology to IV and keep the rest of the pool. It's a 100% perfect JF pilot and that's all it will ever be. JCs are the only thing I can imagine it can benefit from.

That's a very nicely trained character. Don't know if you're looking to keep training in general or were just looking for somewhere to dump the extra SP. There are a couple things you could go for though.

Round out the rest of your cloaky hauler skills, they're a natural extension of your current skillset. That would be afterburner/MWD type skills, mod fitting skills, cloaking, rigging, etc.

You might also consider training up the skirmish line of leadership skills. With a cyno in system or a webber, you'd get the extra agility, which is nice. You could up the other leadership skills for extra shields/hp as well. It's worth noting that it's never been easier to get into an orca. All you would need is mining director, which is also in the leadership skill tree.

Corporation anchoring skills can be useful under the right circumstances.

Then there are passive/semipassive income streams like datacore farming skills (just get the standings by fleeting with a mission runner) or PI skills (which work well with the cloaky skills mentioned above)
