Would you except ads in the EVE Launcher, if it meant CCP would use it to improve your experience?

Lol how is this greed? I mean I wouldn't like it to be sure, but if it meant more content I couldn't care less. As long as the GAME stays sacred, I don't care what marketing does.

Woudn't bother me at all.

As it happens I need a Russian wife, could do with my penls extending, enjoy being repeatedly shown that Windows 8 is 'cool' and need to move to a bank that gives you more...

Isn't ad space sold at like fractions of cents per impression? Wouldn't that equate to like 20 bucks a day if everyone logs in twice, or something along those lines?

It just doesn't really compare to the revenue from regular subscriptions (not to mention PLEX sales). I think just recruiting 50 more subs would be more revenue than a conventional banner ad.

I've been going to fairly extreme lengths to block any and all advertising in my browser and open source tools I use. I would NOT appreciate ads in the launcher.

I would very much not appriciate ads in the launcher. I'm being sold enough IRL as it is. Furthermore I am already a paying customer for more than one account, is this not enough?

By all means, i agree. but if CCP needed to make higher revenue for some weird reason, would you rather have them charge you?

I don't really have any issues with them advertising anything they wish, so long as it is not pay to win, after all it is their game and launcher. I am all for increasing their advertising and hopefully recruiting more EVE online players as this can only be a good thing for the game, us and CCP. If this indeed their aim for the launcher though I hope that any advertising they implement does not impact on the launchers performance in regards of actually getting in game.

I'd have to say I wouldn't care that much. I can deal with ads on YouTube, at least, and it doesn't cause that much of a problem for me.

I think instead of an ad they should make a weekly/monthly poll. For example, the thread for the high resolution texture pack option would have a much higher amounts of player traffic and opinion than on here. Afterwards they could take player votes on that or any other thoughts on changes and base their changes with better input instead of just making decisions and see how people take it. What do you guys think of that?

Obviously it wouldn't be a "since you voted it will happen" type deal but it could do some good I think.

No money in the world could force CCP to realease a quality product. Because as soon as the prototype is compiled for the first time it's already patched into the server. This is not a money thing, its a process thing where they fail every time.
