Sleipnirs + HG Crystals: ASB's or Active tanking?

So with the recent changes to the requirements for Command ships I will be sitting in a Sleipnir once I log in today.

I have seen a lot of different thread about how to fit them, etc, etc, so I come here for some more detailed advice.

Currently I can use t2 everything that I would want to fit, can afford faction stuff if needed, and am running a full set of HG Crystals. What I am looking for is a variety of fits that would all serve the same purpose: Solo/small gang low sec pew pew. I would also like a bit of detail on why I should use ASB's over active tanking (other than the cap problems).

The current fit I have been playing around and ratting with is as follows:

Highs:

220's
medium nos



Mids:

Pith A-type shield booster
Invuln
Scram
cap booster
10mn mwd




Lows:

TE
3x republic fleet gyro
DCII



Rigs:
Undecided but leaning towards filling the kin. hole, and + shield




How does this look, and would I just be better off selling off the shield booster, buying some XL ASB's , and going down in a ball of fiery glory?

Other fits are much appreciated as well.

Edit: I would also like to use it for blitzing level 3 missions in LS so some pvp capable fits that would allow me to blitz lvl 3's would be nice as well.

any pvp capable sleip will be able to handle level 3s without a problem. ASB all the way

Too much pimp for 3's, you know your Sleipnir is doing 800dps with hail (425's) all T2 fitted, has -/+ 1700 physical rep amount with single xl-asb (navy 400's) and no implants/combat boosters/links, it's a hell of a beast already T2 fitted leave it alone faction fitted+pirate implants.
Only major issue with imho is mobility, it's a space brick.

The auto targeting system increases your locking range and total the ship can lock up to 9! 720's because they use less ammo and can clear just as fast if not faster than auto's. Don't group them and pop frigs with your awesome instant lock at 25 - 56km range. Can still hit frigs at 15km with perfect skills, don't be afraid to use your drones. This ship is almost as fast as a machariel albeit at less cost than the hull itself. 900 mill fully fit.

This ship is amazing for upgrade potential as well. caldari navy invuls bring the omni tank up to 413! add a pith a-type with tech 2 capacitor rigs and you have a cap stable 743 dps omni tank. Please don't go much more over board than what it is now however as you will be an easy gank target. All in all this ship has done right by me. Please do not disrespect this noble creature by using a nos and 220's in place of arties or at least 425's. Even with 425's you slow boat around for half an hour not even hitting in fall off.

I had been tempted to look into a booster alt for some small gang stuff, but with CCP stating that offgrid boosting will definitely be either nerfed or completely removed I just can't justify the cost of one. Also, this toon has the ability to run t2 skirm/siege links + mindlinks which would be able to fill at least one of the boost roles while roaming with a small group. Will most likely be plugging in a mindlink since the slot 10 implant is really lacking in viable options for my needs.

I do not know why, but I just do not like the idea of ASB's. IMO they are still wildly overpowered and still in need of large nerfs to bring them in under control. Being able to burst tank that much damage should not be possible. I know there are the long reload times, but if you can not play like a complete ****** you have the ability to keep at least one ASB up and running the entire fight. Just wish shield boosters gave more heal for less cap to help fix active tanking with non-asb fits :-/
