I'm getting frustrated here. Seems like all im doing iis flying around after the update. Takes forever to find a combat site cause 80 percent are wormholes. Then when I do find one more likely someone else is already there. Even the generic ones that pop up without having to scan are becoming scarce not that I care to do them since its a waste of time loot wise. I'm spending more time trying to find content to do then actually doing it. Ready to quit if this keeps up. Anyone else having issues like this? I'm only in highsec since im still new.

Contrary to what you might think from reading the forums, there is actually more stuff in the game than scanning down sites.

You know those can escalate to DED sites... right?

Private ones, that don't have a scannable sig, too.

1. Learn to do a single scan to determine the types of signature in a single system, saves you wasting time probing each one down.

2. High-sec is always over populated. Don't waste your time there.

EVE being hard is a feature. Learn to love the feature and you will love the game.

You're in High Sec, which is a problem because there's lots of competition for sites there. If you're relatively new, I would seriously consider finding a null corp, or at least a rookie feeder corp for a null corp, to get yourself out of High Sec. Just don't pillock into low sec yourself as your ship will immediately explode if you do.

There is other content out there: Agent missions, mining, trading, invention (although latter very high skill req.).

grab a t3 or some nice covops cruiser, fit probe, and get in those lawless regions.

the notion of exploring in low/null sounds silly, but i made my pilgrim pay itself off in 2 hours (sure i was a bit lucky) not a single soul in the 5 systems i jumped around. There was a guy with a manti, but we called each other stealth bros

Game companies don't have to worry about the competition, they have to worry more about their own fanbase. Ugh

Big feature in this new expansion is just that: exploration.

If the features of the newest mechanic don't last for it's intended audience, because the folks who could actually live and play in low/null take the sites from those without the SP, what do you think the outcome will be?

They leave.

Vets wouldn't care because they got their own, but for a business that wants to make money (and not on bots), that's slamming doors on future players.

So fire up IsBox, or your multiple accounts to play the numbers game, while the actual humans playing the game bleed out. I'm sure the game can blob play itself eventually.

Posting to confirm that it is the obligation of the exploration system to reliably deliver exactly what you're looking for to a system near you in a timely fashion.

That is exactly what it is there for. They should fix this problem at once, and pay you reparations for your trouble.

Seems like an honest question, so here's some honest feedback:

EvE is a ("the") long game. It's like the difference between the tactical situation of breaching a room vs. the operational situation of overthrowing a government without everyone getting to miffed about it. Sometimes for me EvE is camping at a gate for four hours and never seeing a soul. Sometimes it's grabbing a cheap destroyer for quick ninja salvaging fun in Tama. Still other times it's a week or two long voyage through wormholes looking for a quick, easy, and lucrative kill. What I'm trying to get across here is that you don't want to loose the forest for the trees. Some of the grind stuff in EvE goes too far, and is too much of a grind... in times like this you should have side-games going. Set up market orders. Haul stuff in between long treks and put that stuff on the market to make a little side-scratch. Go gatecamp in low or null... null is the best gate camping if you are new to the game... and the big secret is that if yu land a hauler... even a blockade runner, and get him decloaked 50km off gate, you can be in pretty much anything with a weapon and have a easy kill. When there's nothing to do it's a lot easier to see that the game is about players and not NPCs or NPC resources.

tl;dr; the reason so many bittervets are always complaining about new features (imho) is because they realized at some point the NPC features are usually stupid and boring, and if they wanted to get ahead in this crazy universe they would need to engage other players. I would say if you need 8th grade level content spoon fed to you find a game that has that. EvE doesn't. The NPC content is there to get you sped up on game mechanics. If all that there was of CCP was an offline EvE, I would say EvE was a pretty crappy game. Find out what other people are doing. Join the incursions channel and join a highsec incursion op. Get frisky and join a militia. Make loot for me to salvage in Tama. Get a few dudes together and go pillaging pirate style in WH space. Scan systems and try out that new hacking feature. Camp lowsec wormhole exists one jump from empire. There's so much to do.

If, however, you want to kill 200 Nerd-o Cows to gain a level in Crazy Combat Cowgirl III (C3) do that instead. There's so much **** to do in EvE I don't even know where to start on the occasions I can sit down and play...

Don't know what the problem is. The number of sites hasn't decreased. Did you scan for sigs before the expansion? If not, then maybe your expectations were unrealistic based on CCP hype. If you did exploring before, maybe it is just the increased competition since CCP whacked scanning with the Easy Stick.

CCP runs the 3rd or 4th largest subscription MMO on the market.

WoW recently lost several million subscribers.

No stealth to it, I'm pretty adamant about humans playing games, not automation software making games but bot sims.

Otherwise, just make EvE totally PvE, because that is what it'll become.
