Caldari Navy Raven or a Golem for level four missions using cruise missiles? What one do you think would do more damage?

Also how far would torpedos go on a Golem at max skill?

with perfect skills and rigs, javelin torps have a range of about 60k.

as for damage: both ships have the same paper dps, so the only difference is damage application. which ship applies better depends on how many painters you run and how able and willing you are to run them.

I should buy an Ishtar.

I ran a Golem with 4 TPs (150.4%) and without rigor rigs (because I just couldn't bear to remove the T2 missile speed rigs from it.) It was ridiculous. With two TPs, you're killing at the same rate as a CNR with two TPs + 2xRigor2 and 1 Flare2 rigs, except against elite Angel cruisers, which require an extra volley form the Golem. (And this was with Marauder IV.)

OTOH, with ~15,000 m/s missiles, you no longer have to volley count, even against NPCs at 80km.

It's a wash in terms of killing speed, IMO. Fly whichever one you like.

Pon Farr Memorial: once every 7 years, all the carebears in high-sec must PvP or they will be temp-banned.

We heard you like nano missile ships, so we put a nano on your missiles so you can nano while firing nano missiles. Cool

But honestly I was like wat? as I put some CMs on my Golem, stopping to count volleys is surprisingly refreshing Golem experience and it is just hilarious watching this things fly off to the target.

Standard torps are a bit over 40km (~43) and Javelins go a bit over 60km (~62).

I've also played around a bit with EFT comparing CNR and Golem.

Base DPS is identical with 8 equivalent launchers.

Golem has a bonus to target painters and explosion velocity which will make whatever it fits more effective against smaller targets.

Directly comparing standard torps to fury cruise missiles ... the DPS was almost the same (slightly less for fury cruise). The explosion radius and velocity were comparable when the Golem was fitted with a Rigor II and Flare II rigs.

Otherwise paper torp DPS was still higher than cruise but the convenience factor goes to cruise missiles.

Golem that fits rigor and flare while using torps has a 20/40km range.

I was thinking about buying another golem to put rigors on but them 15,640.62 m/sec cruise missiles (5% velocity implant too) are just nasty! I only bothered with 3 TPs though.
