Performance/Overheating issues when there's space dust

My laptop is a terrible terrible piece of technology that whilst being powerful enough it overheats. On low settings i have no problems for most things, large fleets - no problem, intense battles - no problem. Running forsaken hubs and the new data sites however overheats my computer terribly forcing me to alt tab briefly to cool it down. I've sat on gates with over a hundred people and not overheated - no issues during burn jita and the only thing that I can see is the presence of space dust or cloud visual effect in an area which seems to eat my processing power and overheat my computer. Is there a way to switch this off and stop it rendering? I've unchecked every box in the display options and it's still there and i still have issues. Its annoying enough that I cant play it on highest despite it running smoothly and having to alt-tab on lowest settings is just irritating for an aesthetic visual effect.

Thanks very much

I've had this exact issue on numerous occasions. 15-20 ships fighting with 5 drones each and I don't have any issues, even at Flight of a Thousand Rifters III everything was good but if I warp into a mission / scan site with a dust cloud... my system overloads, the fans kick in, and there's no option to get rid of it.

Those clouds... They are terrible peformance whores. They just eat up GPU power. Im the same with you guys.. I can be in jita with no probs, but thro in a cloud or 2, and im watching the framerate to drop from a steady 60fps to 8fps.

I really hope they can do somethign abbout that because it makes missions and anything that has those in it just horrendus to play near..
