Hi,

Problems with the launcher...

Started the launcher to let it patch the client, but it just jams on the first step (Validating client)

For me the problem seems to be the Symantec Client Security - software.
Disable it for the duration of the patching and everything works fine.

I would still like to have some better and long term solution to fix this.
(Disabling firewall seems little too risky in the long run) Shocked

Running Windows XP (32bit) and Symantec Client Firewall is version 8.6.0. (but might affect others too)

No Spybot installed.

This same problem happens with the client installer also.
Have to turn off the symantec firewall to download the payloads.

Shouldn't have posted. I didn't run repair before posting. Repair fixed the problem.

Done my time in null sec, now I'm just a Privateer wandering around High and Low Sec.
