I started playing eve 2 days ago and at first i was enjoying it but after a while it seemed to get a bit repetitive by doing fetch missions (going to one station pick up an item and return it to the agent.) and nothing else is available. I'm just curious on whether or not the game-play/missions will better or just stay like this.

You have 6 different agents - some of them will send you to combat missions some - to deliver / product missions.

EVE is a world with activity for everyone. If you like shooting - skip other agents but military and advanced military.

Missions are a very small part of the game (and a very repetitive part)

Alternately, when you complete the tutorial agent missions, you can use the agent finder to find the type of missions that you like to do (security if you like blowing stuff up) and do those to at least start your career. The previous link posted is a good map of some of the things you can do ingame. EVE doesn't hold your hand to guide you through anything, that includes what to do in the game as a whole.

1) Ask yourself "what do I want to do?"
2) Research the answer to #1
3) Go and do it.

Possibly 4) Die in the process, learn from mistakes, get better

What do you usually end up doing in other mmo's/games buddy?

EvE comes at a lot of things from a different angle, so let us know what you like doing and we can give you directions on how to get there.

This may sound a bit harsh but it's not meant that way: If you choose to do boring and repetitive things don't be surprised if you end up being bored. There's lots of things to do, many different directions to sample and be occupied with so pick something that actually sounds exciting and not something that sounds easy or boring.

Having said that, I've been having a similar thought lately but in my case it's not because I'm passive but more because I can't seem to find what I'm looking for. It's explained in my blog linked in my signature (yes, this is a shameless plug).

It gets better once you have the epic gear and can get into a raiding guild.

I think that is a common problem for players not used to online sandbox games (not that there is very many of this kind) I had the same problem after about a week into this game, PvP saved me from quitting, FW in this case.

Now i have somehow ended up with 3 accounts 1pvp, 1PvE and 1 station trader+utillity Shocked i rarely PvE if i dont have to, simply to give my pvp account isk but the station trader can almost plex both accounts without too much effort now, so the missiongrind is at minimum.

One of the nice things about the repetitive activities is that they leave you with plenty of time to read about Eve or to chat with people or to work on spreadsheets for production. Much of the wonder of Eve comes from assimilating this knowledge, much like reading a book.

When that gets boring PvP is indeed an answer. Get in a corp that is happy to have noob logi or hero tackle; upload Team Speak or Mumble and start roaming. That is a great deal more exciting than the PvE.

Also you might want to look into the NPC created trade goods. Hauling those around is quite a bit more engaging because you need a calculator and good map to optimize your returns. Its more like a good game of solitaire. Scanning radar and mag sites is a similar sort of game play that is a bit more stimulating than missions or mining.

And don't hesitate to ask around if someone needs something moved or done, local or on an open channel like rock and minerals are good places to look. People often don't write contracts because there is no one to do the small ones, but if you volunteer you may find there's a lot of little running around and errands that people will happily pay you for.

Eve is a very alive and dynamic universe, your feeling of repetition may be the lack of lazer's engrossing your experience, like the comments above me you can use the agent finder and select missions that interest you the most. As each mission progresses per agent it's mixed up and more difficult, or if you feel like being a high roller mine the hell out of useless space rocks many variables tie into making eve the game you enjoy playing, don't give up on it.

Low quality, it is hardly readable.

But I get the gist of it.

Does anyone have a higher quality version?

That is a high-res version. And it reads perfectly. Something is wrong on your end.

2 days in isn't nearly enough time to properly assess what EVE is like.

I say delve into joining a quality corporation that does something your interested in. I think you'll find out whether or not you will enjoy EVE going that route.

If all you've had are fetch 'n' carry missions you can't have done more than 3 or 4, which doesn't sound right for 2 days in game.

Do all the tutorial missions from all 5 (not 6 as said above) career agents and you'll see there's more to the game than fetch 'n' carry. Also bear in mind that the tutorials have to assume absolute zero experience/knowledge and teach only the very basic principles.
