There was some dissent at the inaugural meeting of the Clone Soldier Pricing Association last week, but the figure 42 was tossed around a lot.

Any colour you like.

I'm thinking there won't be much demand until prices are quite low.

Yes, It eliminates a big time sink but the actual NEED to grind standings doesn't seem to be a very wide-spread problem.

The point here being (and I speak from experience) that if you actually LIVE in low-sec, where your sec status tends to get kind of low :) then there are more advantages to having criminal status than not. So the market for the tags is really going to be limited with regards to people who live in low-sec.

There will still be a market but just not from locals. The market will come from people who want to move out of low-sec, or from suicide gankers or those who live in null-sec and have high-sec pipes to navigate on a regular basis, in other words, a tiny fraction of capsuleers.

That leads me to think that supply will be much higher than demand (after a few weeks).

So yeah, in terms of a starting price.... For the first iterations, what I would tend do is to go ratting for an hour and see how many of thost tags I picked up. then divide 20% of the amount I made in bounties in an hour by the number of tags and use that as a starting price.

so say you made 50mil in an hour ratting and got 3 tags, then I would go with 20% * 50mil / 3 and put them on the market for about 3.3 mil each. If they sold quickly then i would raise the price from there. if the didn't sell quickly then you'd have to lower the price at some point.

Of course the first ones will go on the market for a lot of money because there will be people speculating and people who have been waiting for it, but that bubble will be short lived. If you want to profit much from them then rat your ass off early on.

Supposedly you can turn them in to CONCORD for a cash payout rather than sell em to other players. I assume the CONCORD price will put a floor under these. Whats that price? Anyone know?

1.5 mil for the Trainer tags, 3mil for the Negotiator ones

The first two (Trainer, recruiter) are pretty common finds, the others I havent encountered yet

Well so far I've gotten the Recruiter and the Transporter. I got ~60 mill for the former and 225 mill for the latter. At least for the Transporter tag, I think there was price manipulation involved, though you can't be completely sure. I do agree it's likely the vast majority of the demand is right now.

Right now the cheapest is 20 mill.

Because they only drop in pirate territory anything you see in the market is the buyer selling you what they don't want. I wouldn't touch those with a 10 foot pole.
