We just got 4 new ships in the BC size.

We got the old hurricane back as a navy cane.
Navy Drake and Navy Harbinger are great additions.

The question I have is why the Navy Brutix?

The other 3 ships were the old tier 2 BC's that had no other variations.
The gallente on the other hand got one based on the old tier 1.

We now have a 4th variation of the brutix and still no variation for the Myrmidon.
This is one area where the drone guys just keep getting the shaft.

I've never enjoyed the myrmidon for PvP as I can do more with drones in a cruiser.

Anyone else think having the brutix go navy instead of the myrmidon was a mistake?


The one good thing is the regular myrmidon got a bigger drone bay and bandwidth.
Is it too much to ask for a BC that can use 5 heavies or sentries?
If a cruiser can do it why not a BC?

What makes you think a Navy Myrmidon would have ANY drones, let alone be a drone boat? There is nothing stopping CCP from making a Navy Myrmidon that is without drones (doubt they would, but its doable)

You're right, incoming Gila nerf in 3... 2...1...

Jokes aside though, the Gila is a PIRATE FACTION drone ship that has drone damage and... 3 unbonused launchers as 'backup' weapons... and not enough CPU to actually fit them.

The Myrmidon meanwhile is a bog standard T1 battlecruiser with a supplemental damage system (usually projectiles) which add more than enough extra damage to make up for the lack of one extra sentry.

Ishtar can use 5 heavy drones too.

Well aware of the Gila. I'm a gurrista pilot.

Was very glad to see the Gnosis even though it kind of sucks.

Just so gurrista pilots can have a BC that uses drone bonuses and missiles.

We still have no full drone BC.

The myrmidon is strong with ac's for sure but it really feels like an opportunity missed to get a bc with 125 bandwidth.

Doesn't matter if faction or T2 would just love to see one. If it's pirate faction I'd say even better.

We also dont need another drone boat.... we have: ishtar, domi, ndomi, rattle, gila, nvexor. There is enough stepping on toes to prevent the implementation of another pure drone boat. An all out dps navy myrm would be nice though, with drone dmg and hybrid dmg bonusses.

I'd just like to point out that there has been some talk about changing the eos' hull away from the brutix and possibly to the myrmidon. At the same time it would be unsurprising if, as a part of command ship rebalancing as a whole, CCP takes the "CreoDron design philosophy" more to heart when determining the ship's stats and bonuses.

It doesn't necessarily mean a damn thing to the whole "navy myrmidon issue," but it would cut down on the number of brutix hulls flying around.

Navy myrm would have to directly compete with either the the navy vexor or the dominix. There's no point in it.

The navy Myrmidon wouldn't offer anything more in drones that the navy Vexor can already give. The only improvement would be more turrets and a larger drone bay. Navy Brutix is going to be fun with that much HP.

If they made it pure combat this maybe true.

It doesn't have to be made that way though.

Could remove a high slot and add a mid slot.
Take away the damage bonuses to drones.
Then give the ship bonuses to EW and Logistics drones. (( you know those heavy drones that no one ever uses, here was a chance to fix that too ))
That is just one of the options.
It could also have bonuses to something like nuets since drone boats like to fit them a lot anyway.

I'm sure many other ideas similar to this could be thought up.

It won't have the same stats as ALL of the CS's are getting buffed once Tiericide finally hits them. 100% of CS's are getting a DPS increase and dual gang bonuses (shown here). CCP also stated that the Eos will be made into a better Drone boat than it is now, so we'll have to wait and see what that will entail.
