salvage drone malfunction

from the description of the drone I get the clear impression that the drones will continue to salvage your (owned) wrecks automatically once they are done with one. This does not happen for me; they salvage the wrecks I manually assign without problems, but when they are done they return to ship and idle until I manually assign a new wreck. Have I just misunderstood the mechanics, or is there some function I have neglected to set?
My drones are set at aggressive, for what it's worth...

This is usual... Quite fail from devs side I think.
Thing you want to do, is send them to salvage without having active target. Then they will salvage everything they can reach around.

Dont target any wrecks, then right click the drones and select salvage. They should auto salvage and you can start pulling wrecks is.

I clicked on this expecting a minmatar pilot complaining about his salvaging drones attacking his ship.

slightly disapointed.

After ODYSSEY - Update , i think, the "Auto"-Salvaging (Button "f" ) has a malfunction. Sometimes the drones are able to salvage , sometimes not. Sometimes the drones have the Status "salvaging" marked in red , but they do not salvage.

Update 25.6.2013 19:59
after receiving the today's EVE-Update the "f" or "F" - Button (for Drones) works fine, now :-)

I am able to salvage all wrecks....

As per post #2 and #3 - release any target locks you have on wrecks, then click 'salvage' to order your drones.
Caution here - they will salvage any wreck, yours and anyone else's, which sets you criminal.

Nope they will salvage only YOURE own wrecks , not even of youre fleet mates or any other wrecks , only ones made by you .

Opportunities multiply as they are seized.
