8 out of 10 times i undock i get a black screen . I can still see chat, as well as the station/gate/planet icons in space. I can still warp around via the overview only. When i jump a gate, i see my ship again, and everything looks normal, except i cant move my ship, or change my view.

I cleared my caches and have no idea what to do.

I am also having this same issue with no clue. Cleared cache and restarting Eve and PC didn't help. Hopefully a fix is found soon.

I too have been having this problem.

Both toons running in windows
Undock and the screen is black
Can see everything in the overview and manipulate things in the overview
If I double tap the F10 key my screen comes back

Very annoying and dangerous in lo sec. If I loose a ship and pod due to this CCP will hear about it.

Myself and several others in my alliance having same problem. It's fixable by hitting F10 to bring up map and closing the map, but very, very annoying.

Same issue, but f10 isn't helping, both map and space are black occurred not after undocking for me ,but upon accessing map.

try opening any planet in planet view and exiting, should force your computer to display correct image again, it will even flash your cap as it would if you have boarded the ship in space

Got same issue, not so often though.
Also I had opposite "effect"- after jumping to system all brackets in space and on the overview have vanished.

Yup, got the very same issue, workaround with opening/closing start map works for me, however, anoying like hell Lol.

Hey CCP, As much as i like a 4 hour expansion....I would actually LOVE a 6 hour expansion with no visual issues.

Black screens are also affecting my pilots. Interestingly enough only those in 00 sec. Roll

I too have this problem. For me it occurs after my first reship of the day, same yesterday. Ran mission fine, reshipping and undocking encounters the problem.

The UI is still functional in this state.

Using the f10 trick works to restore the graphics, and camera panning will work again.

One thing I thought would be worth others checking though. In my first ship I use "left click" to control the camera, pan around, manually fly etc. When I switch to my second ship and the screen goes black my "left click" becomes that new UI wheel thingy, and the motions I would normally make to pan the camera in fact just brings up that wheel. When I clear the bug with the double f10 solution, once the graphics return my "left click" functionality returns and I can now pilot my ship and rotate camera again.

When the wheel comes up on left click it is impossible to pilot my ship manually as I am fixed in one (invisible) direction and can not rotate, however I couldn't find out where the settings were to change the key to bring the wheel up.

Can others confirm this UI bug as well? I understood the game graphics and the UI overlay to be somewhat separate so would be interesting if it correlates with the graphics bug.

I'm having the same issue, along with a lot of my corpmates, seems like it maybe a issue with fadetoblack / scanner timer / fadein timers are overlapping / clashing perhaps the delays need to be tweaked a bit. Also the new scanner seems to be having issues when it is active, the actual button UI does not highlight blue and cycle through it's animations. I'm still experimenting to try and narrow down what the issues / triggers are in game but just a scriptwriters first guesses.

The scanner button UI blue animation works upon un-docking, however that seems to be the only time it works, also note one of my corp members told me his scanner was stuck on (would not turn off) when the screen would not fade-in from black. I'll dock and un-dock and test this out.

I have this issue too, I have two toons on different screens and it only affects one, though the other toon has a wierd affect where the fitting windows image of the ship has moved away from the fitting window. I have not tried F10 but will try it after I have JC'd back to somewhere safe, was relogging the toon before, but each time I docked and then tried to undock it went black again.

EDIT: Since the last time it did it I stayed logged in, but did not undock, however I just undocked 5 times and no issues with this toon which was the one having the issues before, the other one is good too.

EDIT: Wierd it seems to affect some ships onlyl, but for me F10 F10 works thankfully.

I've been trying to reproduce the glitch to no avail, I'm honestly at a loss as to what caused it. However, the only major thing I changed was switching my graphics settings from optimized memory (bugged out three times), to optimized performance (bugged out once), then back to optimized memory (have not bugged since) I've docked and undocked about 60 times trying different things and have not bugged since so not to sure what's causing it. I could keep trying to find what's causing it but I'm going back to mining now, time is iskeys. Blink

I did notice however every time my screen froze black the best details and description I can give are as listed.
#1. All the UI appeared, and was usable.
#2. All of the site locations appeared in the little bit of black I could see. (Just the shapes for locations.)
#3. Everything within the scope of Visual / Blackout was nonfunctional, could not see ship, stars, objects in space, and could not pan or rotate camera.

My client black screened twice after patching when I started it. I didnt even get to the character selection screen, and then there were like 20 loading bars all on top of eachother when i finally did get it to start.

good job on that "war on loading bars". they seem to have all blobbed up like the rest of eve.

getting the same black screen also, its very annoying
F10 doesn't help
also getting black screen after character selection, "entering as XXX" on screen then black out for a min
corp mates are getting those black screens too

same here, but only when trying undock with my skiff, providenc and gnosis. 2x F10 works for me, the rest ship in my hangar (BS,BC,orca, mack, Havyasults) don't have the issue
